Oregon Ducks coach Dana Altman discusses how major injuries have affected them. Altman talks about how injuries from players like Guard Jackson Shelstad, Center Nate Bittleand, and Forward Kwame Evans Jr has hurt them, also playing good teams without their main guys.

00:04and dan when you zoom out i guess on on these last few weeks how much do you feel like

00:10can attribute it to the major obviously injuries that you guys have faced or maybe other factors
00:17that are that are going on for you guys well uh you know it anything i say here makes it

00:24like excuses you know uh you know we just we got off to a bad start before the season when
00:30jackson
00:30broke his hand and uh you know i didn't feel like we made the progress we needed to um you
00:38know and
00:39then you know jackson was our really our only experienced guard you know that uh that we had
00:46and you know that's probably my fault for not backing us up more you know on the experience
00:51level with guards um but um part of it's the schedule you know we uh come off the road and
01:01you know then we play a really good nebraska team michigan michigan state i think all in the top 10
01:09um that's not good to play without nate you know to our only experienced inside player so
01:20again you know those are the two guys along with kj that we knew had to play well for us
01:27just from experience of what we lost and what we were able to get out of the portal buy out
01:35of the
01:35portal whatever you want to call it uh you know we we knew we had to have those three guys
01:40on the
01:41floor all the time for experience and uh you know we haven't had a conference game when we've had
01:47all three of them all three of them on the floor so uh you know it hasn't been good
