00:01Most games claiming to be perfect 10s are straight up lying to your face.
00:05But these 18? They actually earned it.
00:08No fluff, no filler.
00:10Just 18 absolute masterpieces that justify the PS5's existence.
00:15If you're sleeping on any of these games, you're missing out on gaming history.
00:18Let's get into it.
00:20Okay, so, Baldur's Gate 3 is basically what happens
00:24when a game developer actually listens to what players want.
00:27Instead of just shoving microtransactions down your throat.
00:31It's a fantasy role-playing game where you get to make all the choices.
00:34And I mean all of them.
00:36Want to talk your way out of a fight? Go ahead.
00:39Want to push someone off a cliff because they annoyed you?
00:41The game lets you do it.
00:43And here's the crazy part.
00:44The game actually remembers what you did and treats you differently because of it.
00:48You create your own character and go on this massive adventure with a bunch of weird companions.
00:53There's a vampire who's scared of everything.
00:55A wizard who ate a cursed book?
00:57Yeah, you heard that right.
00:59And my personal favorite?
01:00A warrior lady who could probably bench press a dragon.
01:03Every conversation feels like it matters because it actually does matter.
01:07The combat is turn-based which means you get time to think about your moves
01:11instead of just button mashing like a maniac.
01:14And listen, this game is huge.
01:16I'm talking hundreds of hours if you want to see everything.
01:19Some people say it's too long.
01:21But honestly, when a game is this good, I don't want it to end.
01:25The writing is fantastic.
01:27The voice acting doesn't make me want to rip my ears off.
01:31And you can literally spend 30 minutes just deciding what your character looks like.
01:35This is what gaming should be.
01:37Huge, ambitious, and actually respecting your intelligence.
01:41Alright, let's talk about Elden Ring.
01:43The game that made millions of players question their life choices.
01:47This is made by FromSoftware, the same people who tortured, I mean, create the Dark Souls games.
01:51But here's the thing.
01:53Elden Ring is actually their best game.
01:56And I will fight anyone who says otherwise.
01:58You play as this warrior person in a massive open world that's absolutely gorgeous,
02:03but also wants to kill you every 5 seconds.
02:06Dragons?
02:06They'll destroy you.
02:08Random soldiers?
02:09They'll destroy you?
02:10That cute little animal over there?
02:12Yeah, it'll probably destroy you too.
02:14But when you finally beat that boss that's been kicking your butt for 2 hours,
02:18nothing else in gaming feels that good.
02:20It's like finally understanding math homework after crying about it all night.
02:24The combat is all about timing and learning attack patterns.
02:27You can't just run in swinging your sword like an idiot.
02:30Well, you can, but you'll die immediately.
02:32And the world design?
02:34Chef's kiss.
02:35Every area feels completely different,
02:38from poison swamps that'll make you rage quit,
02:40to underground cities that make you go,
02:43wait, how is this even possible?
02:45George R.R. Martin, the Game of Thrones guy?
02:48He helped write the story, and it shows.
02:51The lore is deep, mysterious,
02:53and actually makes you want to figure out what's happening.
02:55This game doesn't hold your hand.
02:58It pushes you off a cliff and says,
03:00figure it out.
03:01And somehow, that's exactly what makes it perfect.
03:05God of War Ragnarok is the sequel to the 2018 God of War,
03:08and somehow it's even better than that game.
03:10Which already blew everyone's minds.
03:12You play as Kratos,
03:13this super angry Greek warrior dad who moved to Norse mythology land,
03:17and his teenage son Atreus who's,
03:20well, he's a teenager, so he thinks he knows everything.
03:22The game picks up where the last one ended,
03:24and now you're racing against time to stop Ragnarok.
03:27Which is basically the end of the world in Norse mythology.
03:30What makes this special is how much it cares about the father-son relationship.
03:35Kratos is trying so hard to be a good dad,
03:37but he's not great at expressing feelings because he's, you know,
03:40a warrior who mostly just grunts angrily.
03:43Meanwhile, Atreus is discovering his own identity and constantly challenging his dad.
03:48It's like watching the most epic family therapy session ever.
03:51The combat is brutal and satisfying.
03:54Kratos has his Leviathan axe that he throws and calls back like Thor's hammer,
03:58plus these blades of chaos on chains that let you go absolutely wild.
04:03Every fight feels powerful and crunchy in the best way.
04:06And the boss battles? They're spectacular.
04:10We're talking massive gods, giant wolves, and creatures that make you go,
04:14how am I supposed to fight that?
04:16But what really got me was how the game explores heavy themes like grief,
04:20destiny, and whether we can change who we're supposed to be.
04:23It's deep stuff wrapped in an action-packed adventure with gorgeous graphics that'll make your jaw drop.
04:30Listen, I've been playing games for decades, and sometimes you just need something that makes you smile
04:35instead of giving you stress nightmares.
04:38That's Astro Bot.
04:39Don't let the cute little robot fool you.
04:41This is one of the most creative and joyful platformers ever made,
04:45and it proves that Sony still knows how to make fun games when they're not obsessed with making everything dark
04:50and serious.
04:50You control this adorable robot named Astro, and your job is to rescue all your robot friends scattered across different
04:57galaxies.
04:58Simple concept, right?
04:59But the execution is brilliant.
05:02Every single level introduces new ideas, new mechanics, new ways to play.
05:06One level you're a sponge soaking up water.
05:08The next you're a frog jumping on lily pads.
05:11Then suddenly you're a monkey swinging through trees.
05:13The game never runs out of creative ideas, and that's rare these days.
05:17What really makes Astro Bot special is how it celebrates PlayStation's history.
05:22You'll find characters and references to games from the original PlayStation all the way to PS5.
05:27It's like a love letter to gaming itself.
05:30And even if you don't get all the references, it doesn't matter because the game is just pure fun.
05:34The levels are designed perfectly for younger players, but challenging enough that adults won't get bored.
05:40The graphics are colorful and charming.
05:43The music is catchy.
05:44And honestly, this game just made me happy.
05:47Sometimes that's all you need.
05:49Not everything has to be dark, gritty, and make you feel terrible.
05:53Sometimes you just want to play as a cute robot and have a good time.
05:57The original Resident Evil 4 came out almost 20 years ago and changed action games forever.
06:02So when Capcom said they were remaking it, everyone was nervous, you know what?
06:06They absolutely nailed it.
06:08This remake takes everything that made the original great and makes it even better.
06:13Which honestly shouldn't be possible, but here we are.
06:16You play as Leon Kennedy, this government agent who gets sent to rescue the president's daughter from a creepy village
06:22in Europe.
06:23Sounds simple, right?
06:24Wrong!
06:25Everyone in this village is infected with these parasites that make them super aggressive and way smarter than typical zombies.
06:31They'll use weapons, climb ladders, work together to surround you.
06:36Basically, they'll make your life miserable in the best way possible.
06:39The tension in this game is incredible.
06:40You're constantly low on ammo, constantly worried about what's around the next corner,
06:45and constantly making tough decisions about whether to fight or run.
06:48The game masters this balance between action and horror.
06:52You're powerful enough to fight back, but never so powerful that you feel safe.
06:56And the graphics?
06:58They're absolutely disgusting in the most beautiful way.
07:01Every gross detail is rendered perfectly.
07:04The boss fights are legendary.
07:06There's this lake monster called Del Lago that still gives me anxiety.
07:10And don't even get me started on the chainsaw, guys.
07:12When you hear that chainsaw rev up, your heart will drop into your stomach.
07:16This remake proves that old games can be improved without losing what made them special in the first place.
07:22Alan Wake 2 is one of the weirdest, creepiest, and most mind-bending games I've ever played.
07:28And I mean that as the highest compliment possible.
07:31This is a survival horror game that feels like someone took a Stephen King novel, mixed it with a TV
07:36show,
07:37threw in some nightmares, and somehow made it all work perfectly together.
07:40You actually play as two different characters.
07:43There's Alan Wake, a writer who's been trapped in this dark nightmare place for 13 years trying to right his
07:49way out.
07:49Yes, literally right his way out.
07:52Then there's Saga Anderson, an FBI agent investigating these ritualistic murders in a creepy small town.
07:58Their stories connect in ways that'll make your brain hurt.
08:01But in a good way.
08:02The scary parts are genuinely scary.
08:05We're talking about shadow creatures that come at you in the dark, and your flashlight is your main weapon.
08:10You have to shine light on these things before you can shoot them,
08:13which means you're constantly managing your resources and probably screaming at your TV.
08:18The atmosphere is so thick you could cut it with a knife.
08:21Every sound makes you jump.
08:23Every shadow looks suspicious.
08:25But what makes Alan Wake too special is how it plays with reality itself.
08:30You'll question what's real and what's not.
08:32The game uses live-action footage mixed with gameplay, changes genres on you, and breaks the fourth wall in ways
08:39that are absolutely brilliant.
08:41It's like the game is messing with your head, not just the characters.
08:45This isn't just a horror game.
08:46It's an experience that'll stick with you long after you finish it.
08:50Deathloop is what happens when developers ask what if we made a game about being stuck in the worst day
08:55ever, but also made it super stylish and fun.
08:58You play as Colt, this assassin who's trapped in a time loop on an island full of people partying like
09:04there's no tomorrow.
09:05Which, for them, there technically isn't because the day keeps repeating.
09:09Here's the genius part.
09:10You need to kill eight specific targets in one day to break the loop.
09:14But the island is huge, and all these targets are in different places doing different things.
09:19So you have to be smart about it, figure out their patterns, learn their schedules, and plan the perfect route
09:25to take them all out before midnight.
09:27Every time you die or the day ends, you start over.
09:30But you keep what you learned.
09:31It's like Groundhog Day meets James Bond meets a really complicated puzzle.
09:35The gunplay feels fantastic. Smooth, responsive, and satisfying.
09:41Plus, you have these cool powers like teleportation and linking enemies together so killing one kills them all.
09:48And the style?
09:49Oh man.
09:50The game looks like a 1960s spy movie had a baby with a comic book.
09:54The colors pop, the music slaps, and the whole vibe is just cool.
09:59But here's where it gets interesting.
10:00Another player can invade your game as Juliana, another assassin who's hunting you.
10:06Suddenly, you're not just fighting AI enemies, you're dealing with an actual person trying to ruin your perfect loop.
10:11It adds this layer of tension that keeps you on your toes.
10:15Deathloop is creative, unique, and proves that new ideas can still work in a world full of sequels and remakes.
10:22Metaphor Refantatio comes from the same team that made the Persona games, and let me tell you.
10:26They took everything they learned and created something completely new, and honestly better in a lot of ways.
10:32This is a fantasy RPG that tackles real-world issues like racism, inequality, and political corruption.
10:38But does it through this incredible fantasy world that doesn't feel preachy at all.
10:43You play as a protagonist in a kingdom where different tribes of people are discriminated against, based on how they
10:49look.
10:49Sound familiar?
10:50The game isn't subtle about its themes, and I love that.
10:54You're basically running for king while also fighting monsters and trying to unite people who hate each other.
10:59It's ambitious storytelling that actually has something to say, instead of just being another save-the-princess plot.
11:05The combat system is brilliant.
11:07It's turn-based, but with this cool twist where you can see enemy weaknesses and plan your strategy like a
11:12chess match.
11:13Hitting weaknesses gives you extra turns, so fights become these satisfying puzzles where you're trying to maximize damage and minimize
11:19risk.
11:20And the job system lets you change your character's class and abilities, so you can customize your team exactly how
11:26you want.
11:27What really got me is how the game explores what it means to be a hero, and whether one person
11:32can actually change a corrupt system.
11:34The characters you meet all have depth and their own struggles.
11:38Nobody is just the funny one, or the serious one.
11:41They feel like real people dealing with real problems, just in a fantasy setting.
11:46The art style is gorgeous, the music is phenomenal, and the story will make you think long after you're done
11:52playing.
11:54Hades is a roguelike dungeon crawler, which normally means prepare to die a lot and get frustrated.
11:59But somehow this game makes dying fun.
12:02You play as Zagris, son of Hades?
12:04Yeah, THE Hades, god of the underworld.
12:07Your dad is the worst, so you're trying to escape hell to reach Mount Olympus.
12:11Sounds simple, but this game has more personality and charm than most games twice its size.
12:16Every time you die, and you will die constantly, you go back to the start.
12:20But here's the brilliant part.
12:22Dying actually progresses the story.
12:24You have conversations with characters, unlock new weapons and abilities, and learn more about this dysfunctional family of Greek gods.
12:31So even when you fail, you're still making progress.
12:34It's addictive in the best way possible.
12:36The combat is fast, frantic, and incredibly satisfying.
12:40You dash around, smashing enemies with different weapons while the Greek gods themselves give you power-ups.
12:46Maybe Athena gives you a shield.
12:47Maybe Zeus makes your attacks shock enemies.
12:50Maybe Dionysus makes enemies drunk.
12:53Yes, really.
12:54Every run feels different because you're constantly getting new combinations of powers.
12:58But what makes Hades special is the writing and voice acting.
13:02Every character is memorable and fully voiced.
13:05Your dad Hades is this grumpy workaholic who's terrible at showing emotion.
13:08The other gods treat you like their favorite nephew and love gossiping about each other.
13:13Even the enemies have personality.
13:15The game is funny, touching, and manages to tell a complete story in a genre that usually doesn't care about
13:20story at all.
13:21Plus, the art style is absolutely gorgeous.
13:25Everyone looks like they walked out of the coolest comic book ever made.
13:29Demon's Souls is a complete remake of the game that started this whole brutally difficult but weirdly addictive genre.
13:36This is the grandfather of Dark Souls and Elden Ring.
13:39And the PS5 version makes it look absolutely stunning while keeping all that sweet, sweet difficulty that makes you want
13:45to throw your controller.
13:46You're thrown into the kingdom of Boletaria, which has been covered by this evil fog that turns everyone into demons
13:52or mindless zombies.
13:54Your job?
13:55Fight through five different regions, defeat massive bosses, and try not to lose your mind in the process.
14:00The game doesn't explain anything.
14:01No tutorials.
14:02No hand-holding.
14:03Just, good luck.
14:05Try not to die.
14:06Spoiler alert.
14:07You're going to die.
14:08A lot.
14:09What makes Demon's Souls special is how fair it is, despite being so hard.
14:12When you die, it's usually because you messed up, not because the game cheated.
14:17You didn't dodge when you should have.
14:19You got greedy and went for that extra hit.
14:22You weren't paying attention to your surroundings.
14:24The game teaches you through pain.
14:26And somehow, that makes finally winning feel incredible.
14:29The boss fights are legendary.
14:31There's a dragon on a bridge that will destroy you.
14:34A massive knight that moves faster than he has any right to.
14:37And this blob monster that's genuinely disgusting.
14:41Each boss requires you to learn their patterns and find their weaknesses.
14:45The graphics in the PS5 version are jaw-dropping.
14:48The armor looks so detailed, you can see every scratch.
14:51And the environments are dark, gothic, and beautiful in a twisted way.
14:55This game will test your patience.
14:57But if you stick with it, you'll understand why millions of people became obsessed with this style of game.
15:04Final Fantasy VII.
15:05Rebirth is the second part of this massive remake project.
15:08And Square Enix somehow made it bigger and better than the first game.
15:12Which already blew everyone's minds.
15:14This is a JRPG.
15:16Japanese role-playing game.
15:18That's about fighting an evil corporation that's literally sucking the life out of the planet.
15:23Sound relevant?
15:24Yeah, it should.
15:25You play as Cloudstrife, this spiky-haired mercenary with a massive sword who thinks he's the coolest guy ever.
15:32But actually has some serious issues he needs to work through.
15:35He's traveling with this amazing group of friends.
15:38Including Tifa, who could punch a building into dust.
15:41Aerith, who's sweet but hiding some major secrets.
15:44And Barret, who has a gun for an arm and isn't afraid to tell you exactly what he thinks about
15:49everything.
15:49The combat system is perfect.
15:52It mixes real-time action with strategic menu commands, so you're dodging and attacking while also planning your next move.
15:59Each character plays completely differently.
16:02Switching between the mid-battle keeps things exciting and fresh.
16:06And the limit breaks?
16:07Those are special ultimate attacks that look absolutely spectacular and make you feel like the most powerful person in the
16:14universe.
16:14But what really makes Rebirth special is how huge the world is.
16:18You can explore entire regions, do side quests, play mini-games like Chocobo Racing.
16:24Yes, you ride giant chickens, and just get lost in this incredible world.
16:29The story deals with heavy themes like loss, identity, and fighting for what's right, even when it seems impossible.
16:35The graphics are stunning, the music will give you goosebumps, and the emotional moments will hit you hard.
16:41This is storytelling at its finest.
16:45Marvel's Spider-Man 2 is what happens when you take everything people loved about the first two Spider-Man games
16:50and turn it up to 11.
16:52You get to play as both Peter Parker and Miles Morales.
16:57Two Spider-Men for the price of one.
16:59And trust me, you need both of them because the threats in this game are massive.
17:03Peter is dealing with the black symbiote suit?
17:06Yeah, the Venom suit, which makes him super powerful but also kind of a jerk.
17:11It's like watching your favorite hero slowly lose control, and it's both awesome and terrifying.
17:16Miles is trying to figure out his own path as Spider-Man while dealing with typical teenage problems like school
17:22and family drama.
17:23The game lets you switch between them, and they each have unique powers and fighting styles that feel completely different.
17:29The web swinging? Still the best feeling in any game.
17:33Soaring through New York City, doing flips and tricks, feeling the speed as you zoom between buildings like…
17:39It never gets old.
17:41They added web wings this time so you can glide across the city even faster.
17:44And the combat is so smooth and satisfying.
17:48You're chaining together punches, kicks, web attacks, and special abilities while dodging bullets and attacks.
17:54You genuinely feel like Spider-Man.
17:57The story is emotional and intense.
17:59You're fighting classic villains like Kraven the Hunter, who's this big game hunter treating superheroes like trophies,
18:06and Venom, who's absolutely terrifying in this version.
18:09The game explores friendship, responsibility, and what it means to be a hero when everything is falling apart.
18:16Plus, Queens is now fully explorable alongside Manhattan and Brooklyn, so the map is huge.
18:22This is the ultimate Spider-Man power fantasy.
18:26It Takes Two is the most creative co-op game ever made, and I will die on this hill.
18:30You cannot play this alone.
18:32You need a friend or family member to play with you, either locally or online.
18:36And you know what?
18:38That's the point.
18:39This is a game about relationships, communication, and working together.
18:43And it practices what it preaches.
18:45You play as Cody and May, a couple who are getting divorced.
18:48Their daughter is heartbroken, and through some magic that honestly doesn't need explaining,
18:53they get turned into tiny dolls and have to work together to become human again.
18:57The setup sounds weird, and it is weird.
19:00But it works because the gameplay is absolutely brilliant.
19:04Every single level introduces completely new mechanics.
19:06One chapter, you're both inside a vacuum cleaner fighting dust bunnies.
19:11Another chapter, you're in a magical fantasy kingdom.
19:14Then, suddenly, you're in space or underwater or inside a cuckoo clock.
19:18The game never repeats itself.
19:20Just when you think you've seen everything, it throws something totally new at you.
19:24And the puzzles require genuine teamwork.
19:27You can't just do everything yourself while your partner watches.
19:30The game is also genuinely funny.
19:32There's this talking book character named Dr. Hakim who guides you and makes terrible relationship advice jokes.
19:39The humor is silly and charming, perfect for playing with kids or friends who just want to have fun.
19:44But underneath the laughs, there's real heart.
19:47The game explores how relationships fall apart and what it takes to fix them,
19:51but in a way that's accessible and not preachy.
19:54What I love most is how this game proves that co-op doesn't have to be just two players shooting
19:59things together.
19:59It can be creative, emotional, and constantly surprising.
20:05Returnal is a psychological horror roguelike that will absolutely mess you up.
20:09And I mean that in the best way possible.
20:11This is not an easy game.
20:13It's punishing, stressful, and will make you question your life choices.
20:17But if you push through that difficulty, you'll find one of the most unique and rewarding experiences on PS5.
20:23You play as Selene, an astronaut who crashes on this alien planet called Atropos.
20:28Every time she dies, she wakes up at the crash site and has to start over.
20:32But here's the twist.
20:33The planet changes every time.
20:36Rooms shuffle around, enemies appear in different places, and you never know what you're going to face.
20:41It's like the planet itself is alive and trying to kill you in new and creative ways.
20:44The combat is intense.
20:47Imagine bullet hell shooters where the screen fills with projectiles, but in third-person 3D.
20:53You're constantly dodging, dashing, and shooting while these alien creatures throw everything at you.
20:59The DualSense controller features are incredible here.
21:02You feel every gunshot, every impact, every alien scream through the haptic feedback.
21:07It's genuinely immersive without feeling gimmicky.
21:10But what makes Returnal special is the story.
21:13As you explore, you find audio logs and disturbing scenes from Selene's past.
21:18The game plays with your mind.
21:19Is this really happening?
21:21Is she going crazy?
21:22What's real and what's not?
21:24The atmosphere is oppressive and eerie.
21:26You're always on edge, always tense, and the sound design makes everything feel threatening.
21:32The boss fights are spectacular and terrifying.
21:34These massive creatures that require perfect pattern recognition and lightning-fast reflexes.
21:40When you finally beat one after dozens of attempts, the rush of adrenaline is unreal.
21:46This game respects your skill and intelligence, never holds your hand, and trusts you to figure things out.
21:51The Witcher 3 originally came out in 2015 and was already considered one of the best RPGs ever made.
21:58Now, the complete addition on PS5 makes it look and run even better, which means there's zero excuse not to
22:04play this masterpiece if you somehow missed it the first time.
22:06You play as Geralt of Rivia, a Witcher, which is basically a monster hunter for hire.
22:12He's got white hair, cool scars, two swords, one for humans, one for monsters, and the ability to use magic
22:19signs.
22:20He's gruff, sarcastic, and honestly, one of the best video game characters ever written.
22:24You're searching for Ciri, Geralt's adopted daughter who's being hunted by this terrifying army called the Wild Hunt.
22:30What makes The Witcher 3 legendary is how much choice you have.
22:34Almost every quest has multiple ways to solve it, and your decisions actually matter.
22:39Save this person or that person.
22:41Kill the monster or spare it.
22:43Trust this character or betray them.
22:45The game remembers everything, and your choices ripple through the entire story.
22:50It's not black and white morality either.
22:53Sometimes there's no good option, just different shades of bad.
22:56The world is massive.
22:58We're talking hundreds of hours of content.
23:01The main story is epic and emotional, but the side quests?
23:04They're often better than main quests in other games.
23:07Each one feels handcrafted with real stories, interesting characters, and meaningful outcomes.
23:12You're not just collecting bear butts or killing 10 rats.
23:15You're solving mysteries, making tough decisions, and seeing the consequences.
23:20The combat takes some getting used to.
23:22It's all about timing, dodging, and using the right tools for each monster.
23:27The complete edition includes both massive expansions, which add another 50 plus hours of content.
23:33This is the full package.
23:34The definitive version of one of gaming's greatest achievements.
23:38The original Silent Hill 2 came out in 2001, and is considered one of the greatest horror games ever made.
23:45So, when Bloober Team announced they were remaking it, everyone was terrified.
23:50Not in a good way.
23:51Remakes usually ruin classics.
23:53But somehow, they absolutely nailed it.
23:56This remake respects the original, while making it feel fresh and even more disturbing.
24:00You play as James Sunderland, a man who receives a letter from his dead wife telling him to meet her
24:05in Silent Hill.
24:06Yeah, his dead wife.
24:08Right from the start, you know something is seriously wrong.
24:11James goes to this foggy, abandoned town looking for answers, and what he finds is way worse than anything he
24:17could imagine.
24:18This isn't a game about jump scares.
24:19This is psychological horror.
24:21The town of Silent Hill creates monsters based on James' guilt and trauma.
24:25Everything you see reflects his twisted mental state.
24:28There's Pyramid Head, this iconic monster with a giant triangle helmet who represents James' need for punishment.
24:35Just seeing him will make your blood run cold.
24:38The atmosphere is suffocating.
24:40Thick fog everywhere.
24:42Rusty environments.
24:43Disturbing sounds that make your skin crawl.
24:45The combat is intentionally clunky because James isn't some action hero.
24:49He's just a regular guy who's terrified and swinging a pipe hoping for the best.
24:53You'll spend most of the game low on resources, scared to fight, and questioning what's real.
24:58The story explores heavy themes like grief, guilt, and denial in ways that'll stick with you long after you finish.
25:05The graphics are incredible.
25:08Every detail is rendered beautifully in the most disgusting way possible.
25:12And the sound design?
25:13Turn your volume up and prepare to never feel safe again.
25:16This remake proves that classic horror can be updated without losing its soul.
25:22Ratchet and Clank Rift Apart is a kids game that's so well made, even cynical adults like me can't help
25:27but love it.
25:28This is what happens when developers actually understand how to use the PS5's power.
25:34This game literally couldn't exist on older consoles, and that's rare to say nowadays.
25:38You play as Ratchet, a space cat thing called a Lombax, and his tiny robot buddy Clank.
25:45They're fighting against Emperor Nefarious, this evil robot who wants to conquer the multiverse.
25:50The story is simple Saturday morning cartoon stuff, but the gameplay?
25:55That's where this game becomes special.
25:57You're jumping between dimensions instantly, like you'll jump through a portal, and bam!
26:01You're in a completely different world with no loading screen.
26:05The PS5's SSD makes this possible, and it's genuinely mind-blowing.
26:10The weapons are absolutely ridiculous in the best way.
26:13You've got a gun that turns enemies into plants.
26:16Another one that shoots out a disco ball making enemies dance before they explode.
26:20And my personal favorite, the Rhino, which literally rips holes in dimensions and drops random objects on enemies.
26:27Want to crush a robot with a pirate ship? This game lets you do it.
26:31But here's what surprised me.
26:33They added a new playable character named Rivet, a female Lombax from another dimension.
26:38She's awesome! Tough, funny, and just as capable as Ratchet.
26:43Playing as her doesn't feel like playing a clone.
26:45She has her own personality and story that actually matters.
26:49The graphics are cartoon perfection.
26:51Every frame looks like a Pixar movie with incredible detail, vibrant colors, and smooth animation.
26:57The levels are creative and packed with secrets to find.
27:01This game is pure joy.
27:04It's proof that games don't need to be dark and gritty to be excellent.
27:08Hades 2 is the sequel to one of the best games ever made,
27:11and somehow it's better than the original while still in early access.
27:14Let that sink in.
27:16This game isn't even finished yet, and it's already a masterpiece.
27:19You play as Melano, daughter of Hades and sister to Zagreus from the first game.
27:24But instead of escaping hell, you're trying to invade it to stop Kronos, the titan of time who's taken over.
27:30Everything that made the first Hades great is here, but bigger.
27:34More weapons. More gods giving you powers.
27:36More enemies trying to murder you.
27:38And more story that'll make you actually care about Greek mythology.
27:42The combat feels even smoother and faster.
27:44You're dashing around casting spells and smashing enemies while the gods cheer you on and offer you wild power combinations.
27:52What's brilliant is how different Melano is from Zagreus.
27:55She's more serious, more focused on her mission, but she still has personality.
28:00The gods treat her differently because she's on a righteous quest instead of just running away from family drama.
28:04You'll meet new gods like Apollo and Hestia.
28:07And they're all fully voiced with amazing dialogue that makes them feel like real characters instead of just power-up
28:14dispensers.
28:15The art style is somehow even more gorgeous than the first game.
28:18Every environment is detailed and beautiful.
28:21Every character design is iconic.
28:23And the animations are silky smooth.
28:26The music is phenomenal.
28:28Epic orchestral tracks that pump you up during fights and emotional melodies during story moments.
28:33And remember, this is early access.
28:36The developers are actively adding more content, listening to feedback, and making it better.
28:41If it's this good now, imagine how incredible it'll be when it's complete.
28:46This is how you make a sequel.
28:48Keep what worked, improve what didn't, and add enough new stuff to justify its existence.
28:52Look, the gaming industry loves throwing around the term masterpiece like it's candy.
28:56But these 18 games, they actually deserve the hype.
29:00In an era where we're constantly fed half-finished garbage at full price,
29:04these titles prove that excellence is still possible when developers actually care.
29:08If you haven't played all of these yet, fix that.
29:11Your backlog can wait.
29:12These are the games you'll remember 20 years from now.
29:15And if you disagree with any of my picks, good.
