00:00I do think that there's obviously something there.
00:03I just don't think that the combination of what the Rockets are rolling with right now is championship caliber.
00:08I do think that it's early rounds of the playoffs worthy right now.
00:14And assuming they don't make some huge swing or Fred Van Vliet comes back or they figure something out here,
00:22I don't know exactly what they could do to up that.
00:25But right now, I think it's very, very real that the Rockets' ceiling right now is at that second round, I think, at best.
00:34That's their ceiling.
00:35Yeah, you can't see them get past.
00:36Text line coming, the Rockets are going to get eliminated by the Warriors again.
00:39Okay.
00:40I don't know about that.
00:42That'd be a tough one to stomach.
00:43Jimmy out for the year, I don't know about that one.
00:49Tyler, you're going to the game or not going to the game tonight,
00:51seeing them play the Clippers first time this year, real or fake?
00:54But they're ceiling.
00:55They're ceiling the place where you see that's the highest the Rockets can go, excuse me.
01:00Real or fake is the second round.
01:02I'm going to say fake.
01:05Primarily and only because of the simple fact that you do have Kevin Durant on this team,
01:09and he's one of the biggest superstars we've ever seen on the court, and he can take you places.
01:13So I'm going to say fake.
01:14Yeah, right now, the Thunder and the Spurs are one and two in the West,
01:19and then the Nuggets are the third seed in the West.
01:22James Harden went ahead and tracked them down last night.
01:26He was able to get a road win in Denver against the Nuggets.
01:28And then the Rockets are in the fourth spot with the Lakers and the Timberwolves behind them there.
01:33And to get past the second round, which to get to the conference finals,
01:38like you're going to have to beat one of those Denver Spurs Thunder.
01:44Unless, like, you go past them, I don't know, they're not that far behind the Nuggets.
01:51But even so, to get that, you've got to beat one of those teams.
01:55And in a seven-game series, I hear what Tyler's saying, that they could get hot.
02:04Could they get hot?
02:05I just can't see them in seven games winning a series against the Nuggets, Spurs, or Thunder.
02:11Don't ever underestimate the heart of a champion.
02:15Like, right now, I would favor them to beat the Lakers right now.
02:18He'll LeBron said yesterday, we're not a championship team.
02:21I can see that.
02:23I wouldn't love the Timberwolves matchup.
02:26I can see that.
02:27But then the next round, if seeds held, they'd have to face the Thunder.
02:31Yeah.
02:31And I don't like that.
02:33I don't like that.
02:34So, I'm with you.
02:35I think the ceiling is the second round right now for the Rockets.
02:41Real or fake, Tyler?
02:43The Texans should open up as favorites to win the AFC South.
02:48Real or fake?
02:51Jags won it last year, but they will have the first place schedule.
02:54Some tough happenings, obviously, right now in town for the football team.
02:58But I'm going to say real because the AFC South is indeed garbage.
03:02And the way Vegas works, the Houston Texans, knowing that they're on the defensive side
03:07of the ball right now, I'm going to say real because you also know the other reason.
03:12Yeah.
03:12I know how you don't feel about the Jags.
03:13I'm going to say real, but I don't agree.
03:16I don't think the South sucks.
03:19I think the Jags are good.
03:21I think, obviously, the Texans, we'll see what's happening with the Colts.
03:26But, I mean, hell, they started off 8-1 to start the season.
03:29I think Tennessee's got a chance to be really improved next year.
03:33So, I don't think the South sucks.
03:34I would say right now, with their defense, that's the most sure thing.
03:39I know Trevor came on in that offense.
03:41Their defense, that's the most sure thing.
03:42And they've got a second-place schedule.
03:45I would go there.
03:46It's close, but I would say the Texans should be the favorite.
03:49You real or fake?
03:50Real.
03:51I'm going to go fake.
03:52I'm going to go fake.
03:53I think the world, the NFL world, is significantly more convinced that the Jacksonville Jaguars team
04:01is a better overall team than the Houston Texans.
04:07Look, I just think.
04:09So, you're a believer in the Jags.
04:10Well, maybe.
04:11I'm not necessarily a believer in the Jags as much as I am.
04:14You know, a believer that the country saw something that's going to be hard to forget in this offense.
04:21Like, it's going to be very difficult for them.
04:24I mean, you're talking about, you know, the Jags.
04:26You can look at that, and you can talk about the season.
04:28You can talk about the run.
04:29You can talk about the first-year coach.
04:31You can talk about Trevor Lawrence being an MVP caliber candidate.
04:34You know, there's a lot that you can kind of hang your hat on.
04:37The defense was even great early and then really good late.
04:40Had a little lull in the middle.
04:41But the defense, not on the same ball, you know, playing field as the Texans.
04:45You feel a lot better about Trevor's finish, even though he threw an interception
04:48to kind of end the game against Buffalo.
04:50But, I mean, he took them down and gave them the lead late in the fourth quarter.
04:53So, you can feel better about Trevor.
04:55Yeah.
04:55Yeah.
04:56I just, I think the world saw something that's going to be very difficult for them to forget.
05:00And the ones that watch closely know it started against Pittsburgh,
05:03and then it just, it obviously come to true fruition and imploded against New England.
05:09And so, I think that's going to be tough to forget.
05:12So, yeah, I think it's fake.
05:14I don't think the Texans should open as favorites in the AFC South.
05:16All right.
05:16Coming back to you again, Clint.
05:18The Patriots should be, Patriots fans should be concerned about Drake May following his playoff run.
05:24Oh, absolutely.
05:26Absolutely.
05:26I mean, you talk about as many times as he got hit, as many times as he put the ball on the ground
05:32or put the ball overall in harm's way, whether it was a fumble or an interception.
05:36Yeah.
05:37I mean, I think they are in a very similar position right now as the Texans are from a,
05:47and obviously they were really good.
05:48He's an MVP, Keller candidate, and they were one of the more explosive offenses throughout the year.
05:52But I think they're in a position, Ron, where you can look at the regular season run
05:59and maybe overlook some of the playoff stuff, the warts that came up with Drake May.
06:05I think that would be a bad way to look at it, just like with the Texans.
06:09You can look at the Texans and go, hey, man, they won 10 straight games.
06:13Yeah.
06:13And you can build a case to, man, CJ's going to be fine.
06:17But then you're overlooking or minimizing what went on in the playoffs, which is these are both franchises
06:23that everything they do should be geared on what happens and what they do in the playoffs.
06:28And so I think they're in a similar position.
06:32You know, Drake May just, and really the offense as a whole, didn't play well for either team.
06:39The quarterback stunk it up.
06:41And CJ significantly, I think significantly more, but the point still, I think, exists that, you know,
06:47you've got to be concerned about your offense and whether Drake May is a great fit
06:53and can replicate, you know, what he does versus lesser talent, lesser opponents.
06:58When the stage is bigger, the lights are brighter.
07:01You're going to find out.
07:02That Patriots schedule next year is for real.
07:04Yeah, I saw.
07:05And so you're going to find out.
07:06Yeah, they even got some teams that ain't even on their first place schedule that just
07:11slid in there this year.
07:13Yeah.
07:13So I think it's real, Ron.
07:14Tyler, real or fake?
07:15Patriots fans should be concerned about Drake May following this playoff run to the Super Bowl.
07:20Yeah, I'm going to say fake, though, for a lot of the same reasons.
07:23He's young.
07:24I mean, he got you there.
07:25He was the youngest quarterback to ever reach that big stage, right?
07:28I don't think it's anything to be too concerned about.
07:30Just need to see him come out firing next season.
07:33Yeah.
07:34Yeah.
07:36It was bad, like it never recovered, like, and I think some of it was around him, but
07:43like, I'm concerned like that, like that guy finished second in the MVP.
07:49And I mean, never, ever, ever really looked like it in a four and four games, just never
07:56really looked like it.
07:58And, like, I've got concerns of what we just watched with CJ.
08:03Like, is he, is the pressure that happened late in that season, is that going to be something
08:08that affects him next year, affects him moving forward?
08:12Like that, like that part, that, because he just, he didn't feel the rush well.
08:16He didn't, like, he was out there just letting himself get drilled as much as he was getting
08:20Well, Ron, but there, there's just a, I'll go back to when your quarterback snaps the football
08:27and has no idea where the pressure's coming from.
08:29It's one thing to not have a plan and not know, hey, I got a receiver looking at me or
08:33I got an outlet.
08:35When you, when he snaps the football and he is completely surprised by where the pressure's
08:39coming and the fact that there's free runners, you've got problems offensively, right?
08:43It's not like you, we can't sit here and with CJ and Drake may go, oh boy, well, boy,
08:47pressure just gets to him.
08:48It doesn't get to him.
08:49No, it gets to all quarterbacks.
08:50Like, it gets there.
08:51Pressure's effective.
08:52The scary part, when you're talking about concern for the next year and concern for the
08:57fit of your quarterback, the scary part is when your quarterback's snapping the football
09:01and he has no idea where the pressure's coming from, there's a difference in snapping
09:03the football, knowing where the pressure's coming from, and choosing to hold the football
09:06and take a hit in the face right as I, right as I deliver a football, then snapping
09:11the ball and head on a swivel, looking at where, where's the free defender coming and
09:15then trying to take off running.
09:16There's a huge difference in that.
09:17I think I saw that in CJ at times.
09:19And I think I saw it from Drake may definitely in the super bowl.
09:22You, you, you would think your quarterback in his second season just led you to a super
09:25bowl and finished second in the MVP by one vote.
09:28Like you'd be real great moving into it.
09:30I don't know if they feel the way his resume sounds like.
