00:00I met Jeffrey Epstein when he moved, when I moved to a house next door to him in New York.
00:06And I met him then.
00:08Over the next 14 years, I met him two other times that I can recall.
00:14Two times.
00:15And that is none for six years.
00:17So six years later, I met him.
00:20And then a year and a half after that, I met him.
00:23And never again.
00:25Probably the total, and you've seen all of these documents,
00:28of these millions and millions of documents,
00:31there may be 10 emails connecting me with him,
00:36probably about 10 emails connecting me with him over a 14-year period.
00:41I did not have any relationship with him.
00:46I barely had anything to do with that person.
00:51Okay?
00:52Secretary Lutnik, I think you understand the root of concern here.
00:57It's the way you described, very emphatically, your first encounter with him in his apartment.
01:06You said you were disgusted.
01:08Would never have any contact with him again.
01:10Did you, in fact, make the visit to Jeffrey Epstein's private island?
01:14I did have lunch with him as I was on a boat going across on a family vacation.
01:22My wife was with me, as were my four children and nannies.
01:27I had another couple with, they were there as well with their children.
01:33And we had lunch on the island.
01:35That is true, for an hour, and we left with all of my children, with my nannies, and my wife, all together.
01:43We were on family vacation.
01:44We were not apart.
01:45To suggest there was anything untoward about that in 2012,
01:50I don't recall why we did it, but we did.
01:54Secretary, again, as I said, there's not an indication that you yourself engaged in any wrongdoing with Jeffrey Epstein.
02:03It's the fact that you believe that you misled the country and the Congress based on your earlier statements,
02:11suggesting that you'd cut off all contact when, in fact, you had not.
02:14When you visit.
