00:02Amazon signaled to publishing industry executives that it plans to launch a marketplace allowing
00:07publishers to sell content to companies offering artificial intelligence products,
00:11according to Reuters. Ahead of an Amazon Web Services conference on Tuesday,
00:16AWS circulated slides referencing a content marketplace, according to two people who spoke
00:21with Amazon. The slides grouped the marketplace with AWS AI tools, including Bedrock and Quick
00:27Suite, and describe products that publishers can use in their businesses. The report comes as
00:32publishers and AI companies negotiate rules governing content use for training models or
00:37generating user responses, with publishers pushing for usage-based fees tied to how often content is
00:42used. An Amazon spokesperson said the company has nothing specific to share. Last week,
00:48Microsoft said it is developing a publisher content marketplace that shows publisher-set
00:53usage terms. For all things money, visit Benzinga.com.
