00:00I was born in a home where 85% of the kids who were born in this series of homes
00:06run by the Salvation Army were taken from their mothers,
00:11whether the mothers wanted to give their children up or not.
00:14And there's, you know, I get a lot of, there's so much trauma in your book,
00:19it was very hard to deal with it.
00:21But imagine what it was like to live it.
00:24And that's what I wanted to show in one blood, that this is all very real.
00:30And, I mean, with Dobbs being completely obliterated, the Supreme Court that we have,
00:38the politics that are going on right now with, you know, like an absolute immunity for our president
00:44and they can do whatever the hell they want to, I feel like we're heading back down that road.
00:49And so what does that look like?
00:51And the only way that you can look at what's going to happen going forward
00:55is to understand what happened behind us.
00:58And so that's what one blood does.
