A swinging “tsunami” ride malfunctioned on Saturday evening, leaving a dozen people injured and killing one police officer. The incident occurred on Saturday, Feb. 7, at the 39th Surajkund International Crafts Fair held in Faridabad, India. According to local outlets the Times of India and NDTV, dozens of people were on the ride when it collapsed around 6:15 p.m. local time. In a video obtained by PEOPLE, the ride is seen going around in circles before one side of the structure suddenly appears to snap. The ride vehicle then separates from the structure and crashes onto the ground. Onlookers are heard screaming and seen fleeing in panic.
