00:00If you didn't watch the Super Bowl last night, you missed a real talker. And by that, I mean the
00:04halftime show. By now, you have heard that the favored Seattle Seahawks handedly beat the New
00:09England Patriots 29-13 in what was largely a lopsided snoozefest of a game. They say defense
00:16wins championships, and the Seahawks did just that. But it was the controversy surrounding
00:21Bad Bunny's halftime show that brought the buzz. The Puerto Rican rapper performed an energetic
00:2615-minute show with plenty of celebrity cameos, including Lady Gaga and Ricky Martin, who, by the
00:32way, has not aged a day since 1997. And yes, he performed exclusively in Spanish. Dressed in a
00:39stylized football jersey with the number 64 and his last name, Ocasio, on the back, Bad Bunny paid
00:44tribute to his home island of Puerto Rico, the dancing, the food, the games, and even the lasting
00:49effects of Hurricane Maria. He concluded his show by holding up a football that said, together,
00:54we are America. Not everyone agreed. The president posted on Truth Social about the performance.
01:00Quote, the Super Bowl halftime show is absolutely terrible, one of the worst ever. It makes no sense,
01:05is an affront to the greatness of America, and doesn't represent our standards of success,
01:10creativity, or excellence. The criticism of the halftime performer leading up to the game prompted
01:15Turning Point USA to counter-program with a conservative-focused set of singers headlined by Kid Rock.
01:21The event was kicked off by TPUSA host Jack Posobiec, who opened the show saying, quote,
01:27this one's for you, Charlie, a nod to Turning Point's co-founder, Charlie Kirk.
01:32Five million people tuned into the YouTube live stream.
