00:00The Davao City Police Office, or DCPO, is intensifying its security measures for the upcoming Chinese New Year celebration on February 16,
00:09with 100 police personnel set for deployment to ensure peace and order.
00:14The main celebration, which also featured the official lighting of the newly opened Bukana Bridge along the Davao City Coastal Road, is expected to draw a large crowd.
00:24The DCPO assures readiness with a soft deployment of personnel, which is set to begin on February 14.
00:31The police aim to guarantee a successful and peaceful celebration for all attendees, including the Filipino-Chinese community.
00:40In line with this, the DCPO is also strictly enforcing the city's firecracker ban,
00:45prohibiting the manufacture, sale, and use of all fireworks throughout Davao City.
