00:00And barely 48 hours are left till the Days of the Dead celebration kick off with Thursday's Halloween.
00:07While most of the country will go head out to graveyards, memorial parks, columbaria and crypts
00:12to spend time with their deceased loved ones or even out of town for some needed R&R,
00:17the police will be hard at work in and around cemeteries and elsewhere to protect the public and keep them safe.

00:28The Philippine National Police European Peace ready to implement security measures for the upcoming All Saints Day.
00:35According to Philippine National Police Public Information Office Chief Police Brigadier General Gene Fajardo,
00:41around 8,802 police officers will be deployed nationwide for the long holiday weekend.
00:47Police will be stationed at bus terminals, seaports, airports, vital installations and cemeteries.
00:54Brigadier General Fajardo also stated that regional directors have the discretion to raise the alert level in their respective areas
01:01depending on the peace and order situation there.
01:03Normally, when there are major events like this, our field commanders are given discretion,
01:11particularly the regional directors to adjust their alert level,
01:16particularly in those affected areas where retrieval and relief operations are still ongoing.
01:24So if they think it's wise to maintain a heightened alert level even beyond the Umdas days,
01:33they are given authority to make sure that they maintain peace and security in their respective areas of responsibility.
01:43The PNP also advised those going on vacation to leave instruction with family members and trustworthy neighbors regarding the care of their homes.
01:51They also recommended avoiding at the moment social media posts to prevent criminals from knowing when their homes are unoccupied.
01:59We also have cybercriminals who guard the cyberspace.
02:02They can see your plane tickets, bus tickets, and even the places they go on vacation.
02:12We also announced that there are no people in their homes.

02:20Meanwhile, the PNP leadership assured personnel affected by Typhoon Christine will receive assistance
02:27During the morning flag-raising ceremony, PNP Chief Police Brigadier General Romel Francisco Marbil announced
02:33he has instructed relevant police units to provide financial assistance to police personnel who were also victims of the calamity.
02:41According to PNP data, over 3,000 personnel were affected by the recent typhoon.
02:46The typhoon cost an estimated 4 million pesos in damage to PNP infrastructure.
