00:00President Trump is threatening new tariffs on more countries, this time targeting countries
00:07that sell oil to Cuba. In an executive order, the president calls Cuba's government an
00:13extraordinary threat to U.S. national security and foreign policy. The same order cites Havana's
00:19ties to Russia, China, Iran, and the militant groups Hamas and Hezbollah. Trump did not specify
00:25how high the tariffs could go, but said any country that directly or indirectly provides
00:30oil to Cuba could face new levies on goods sold in the United States. Speaking to reporters
00:36at an event honoring First Lady Melania Trump at the Kennedy Center last night, the president
00:41suggested Cuba's government may not endure. Cuba is a failing nation, and you have to feel
00:47badly for Cuba. They've treated people very badly. We have a lot of Cuban Americans who
00:52really were treated very badly, and they'd probably like to go back. And no, I'm not
00:57trying to, but it looks like it's something that's just not going to be able to survive.
01:02I think Cuba will not be able to survive. The president also escalated trade tensions
01:06with Canada, threatening to decertify Canada-made aircraft and impose a 50 percent tariff. Trump
01:13accuses Canada of illegally blocking certification of U.S.-built Gulfstream jets.
