In this explosive full video update, we break down the latest escalation in US-Iran tensions after indirect nuclear talks in Oman reportedly faltered and Tehran refused to abandon its uranium enrichment program. Watch as President Trump’s first reaction raises alarms about a possible full-scale confrontation, with Washington threatening consequences if Iran continues its nuclear ambitions and refuses to negotiate.
Meanwhile, Tehran’s leadership reiterates that diplomatic progress must happen without military threats, stoking fears of a regional war that could reshape global security

00:00Very good talks on Iran.
00:03Iran looks like it wants to make a deal very badly.
00:05We have to see what that deal is.
00:07But I think Iran looks like they want to make a deal very badly, as they should.
00:12Last time they decided maybe not to do it, but I think they probably feel differently.
00:17We'll see what the deal is.
00:19It'll be different than last time.
00:21And we have a big armada, we have a big fleet heading in that direction.
00:26We had very, very good talks today having to do with Russia, Ukraine.
00:34Something could be happening.
00:36We likewise had very good talks on Iran.
00:40Iran looks like it wants to make a deal very badly.
00:43We have to see what that deal is.
00:45But I think Iran looks like they want to make a deal very badly, as they should.
00:50Last time they decided maybe not to do it, but I think they probably feel differently.
00:54We'll see what the deal is.
00:57It'll be different than last time.
00:59And we have a big armada, we have a big fleet heading in that direction.
01:04It'll be there pretty soon.
01:06So we'll see how that works out.
01:08The stock market, as you know, broke a number that they thought was going to be impossible to break.
01:16Certainly during my first year, they said if you could do it in your fourth year, by the fourth year, we broke 50,000 of the Dow.
01:23Most people thought that was not possible to do so quickly.
01:27We did it in the first year.
01:29So we're about three years ahead of schedule.
01:31It's going good.
01:32Prices are way down.
01:33You don't hear the Democrats talking about affordability anymore, which they cause the affordability problem very badly.
01:40But you don't hear that word.
01:42I haven't heard that word spoken in a week and a half because they can't speak because the prices are down.
01:50Energy's down.
01:51If you look at oil, if you look at gasoline, a gallon of gasoline in Iowa, I was there last week.
01:58It was 185, 189, and 199 at three different stations.
02:04And it's that way in a lot of places.
02:07So gasoline is way down.
02:08Energy's down.
02:10Groceries are down.
02:11We've broken the Biden disaster, the mess that I inherited.
02:17The border is extremely secure, more so than it's ever been.
02:21We've got nine months with zero people coming in illegally.
02:25And I think the immigration problem is we're doing very well.
02:29And crime is at a record low for 125 years.
02:33It's just announced the lowest has been since 1900.
02:38That's pretty good.
02:38That's a long time.
02:40So do you have any questions, John?
02:42Mr. President, the social media post that you took down earlier today, the White House says that a staffer sent it.
02:49Who sent it?
02:50And are you going to fire now?
02:51I looked at it.
02:53I saw it.
02:53And I just looked at the first part.
02:55It was about voter fraud in someplace, Georgia.
02:59There was a lot of voter fraud, 2020 voter fraud.
03:01That I didn't see the whole thing.
03:03I guess during the end of it, there was some kind of a picture that people don't like.
03:10I wouldn't like it either, but I didn't see it.
03:11I just I looked at the first part and it was really about voter fraud and the machines, how crooked it is, how disgusting it is.
03:21Then I gave it to the people to generally look at the whole thing.
03:25But I guess somebody didn't.
03:26They posted and we took it down and we did it.
03:29But that was a voter fraud that nobody talks about.
03:33They don't like to talk about that post.
03:36We took it down as soon as we found out about it.
03:39Mr. President, a number of Republicans are calling on you to apologize for that post.
03:43Is that something you're going to do?
03:45No, I didn't make a mistake.
03:46I mean, if I look at a lot of thousands of things, I looked at the beginning of it.
03:53It was fine that they had that one post and I guess it was a takeoff.
03:57By the way, a lot of people were covered.
03:59If you look at where it came from, a lot of I guess it was a takeoff on the Lion King.
04:04And certainly it was a very strong post in terms of voter fraud.
04:10Nobody knew that that was in the end.
04:12If they would have looked, they would have seen it.
04:14And probably they would have had the sense to take it down.
04:16But that was a takeoff on the Lion King.
04:18And a lot of people were covered in different positions.
04:22But I spoke to Tim Scott.
04:27He was great.
04:29Tim is a great guy.
04:30He understood that 100 percent.
04:32Go ahead.
04:33Mr. President, Steve Whitcoff, Jared Kushner, met with Iran's foreign minister today.
04:39You also had Brad Cooper there, the head of CENTCOM.
04:41A deal doesn't look like it's been reached yet.
04:44How long are you willing to wait?
04:46It can't be reached.
04:47Well, you have to get in position.
04:49We have plenty of time.
04:50If you remember Venezuela, we waited around for a while.
04:53And we're in no rush.
04:55We have, you know, very good talks going with Iran.
04:58We have very good talks going with Russia and Ukraine.
05:02We're doing a lot of good talking.
05:04And I think we had the results today were with Iran.
05:09It was a meeting.
05:10We're going to meet again early next week.
05:13And they want to make a deal.
05:14Iran, as they should want to make a deal.
05:16They know the consequences.
05:18If they don't make a deal, the consequences are very stable.
05:21So we'll see what happens.
05:24But they had a very good meeting with a very high representative of Iran.
05:30And we'll see how it all turns out.
05:33We'll give it a life script.
05:34I'd love to see that.
05:34By the way, I'd love to see that.
05:36If we could, if we could do that, I'd love to see it.
05:38On Iran, is there a deal that is acceptable that's only, that only covers, with Iran, is there a deal that only covers nuclear that would be acceptable to you?
05:49Because they don't, they just want to have nuclear.
05:50They don't want to have anything else.
05:51It's a deal that would be acceptable.
05:53But the one thing, and right up front, no nuclear weapons.
05:58If we could have made that deal two years ago, we would have made that deal.
06:01But they weren't willing to do that.
06:03Now they are willing to do it.
06:04So they're willing to do much more than they would have a year and a half ago, or even a year ago.
06:11Don't forget, we've only been doing this for exactly one year.
06:15And we started with them a few months after the beginning of this term.
06:19This term has been amazing.
06:21But the results could surprise people.
06:26If they would have offered this deal originally when we first started, it would have been accepted immediately.
06:33We'll see what happens.
06:34Mr. President, a number of people in the MAGA base say they aren't satisfied with the administration just focusing on deporting violent criminals.
06:42Who are you with?
06:43I'm Natalie Ellison with the Washington Post.
06:46Washington Post.
06:46You're having a hard time getting readers.
06:48Washington Post is doing very poorly.
06:51Go ahead.
06:51You have a very bad attitude.
06:53Go ahead.
06:53Well, a number of people in your base say that they want to see all illegal immigrants deported, even once we're otherwise not by.
07:00Let me tell you about my base.
07:00Let me tell you about my base.
07:02My base has never been strong.
07:04My base is me and other very good people, people that love our country.
07:09And if you talk about my base or the MAGA base, you could call it a lot of America first base.
07:14They couldn't be more thrilled.
07:16We have climbed down to the lowest level that has been at 125 years.
07:20We have a border that's totally closed.
07:22We have all the things that our base wanted, and we have the best economy in history.
07:27Prices are down.
07:28We inherited very high prices and the highest inflation in the history of our country.
07:32I mean, think of it, the highest, or 48 years.
07:36Some people say 48 years, but I'll take either one.
07:39So my base is very happy.
07:41But would you support mass deportations of people who are otherwise law-abiding?
07:46I see everybody, but we focus.
07:48We're focusing on the criminals.
07:49We're focusing on killers.
07:50We're focusing, but ultimately, they all broke the law.
07:54Some can, if they do it in a certain way, they can go out.
07:58They can come back if they do it properly.
08:01But as you know, a lot of people have been deported, a lot.
08:04But the focus is on the murderers, the drug dealers.
08:10We have many people mentally insane.
08:12They dumped everything in our country.
08:14But ultimately, yeah, it's exactly as I said during the campaign.
08:18Mr. President, can you set the record straight?
08:19There are reports circulating that you told Chuck Schumer that in order to restore funding
08:24for the Gateway train tunnel in New York, New Jersey, you would want Penn Station and Dulles Airport
08:29to be named after you.
08:31He suggested that to me.
08:33Chuck Schumer suggested that to me about changing the name of Penn Station to Trump Station.
08:41Dulles Airport is really separate.
08:42Dulles Airport is really not too involved with Congress.
08:47It's a separate kind of a deal, as you know.
08:49But it was suggested to me by numerous people, unions, Democrats, Republicans.
08:55A lot of people suggested.
08:57Nothing's been done on that.
08:58Mr. President, you, for the sake of the government,
09:01I frequently criticized Joe Biden for not knowing what is going on in his name.
09:06This racist video that was posted on your social media.
09:08I'm doing a hell of a lot better than you do.
09:09You don't know what's going on.
09:11I know what's going on.
09:12No, Joe Biden didn't have a clue.
09:14But we know everything.
09:16And when you look at what's happening with our economy, think of it, we're way years ahead
09:21of schedule.
09:23We have thousands and thousands of businesses being built right now.
09:26So Joe Biden had no clue.
09:29If Joe Biden were elected or if Kamala were elected, we wouldn't have a country right now.
09:34You won the election because of minority voters.
09:37Does this post maybe hurt Republicans with, you know, black voters after the...
09:42I think, you know, I was, look, we did criminal justice reform.
09:46I did the historically black colleges and universities.
09:51I got them funded.
09:53Nobody has been, and that's why I got a tremendous, the highest vote with male black voters that
09:59they've seen in many, many decades.
10:01I've done great with, black voters have been great to me.
10:04I've been great to them.
10:05Black voters have been great to me.
10:07I've been great to them.
10:09And I am, by the way, the least racist president you've had in a long time, as far as I'm concerned.
10:15We have, I've had a great relation.
10:17Think of what I've done.
10:18Criminal justice reform.
10:20Nobody else could do it.
10:22Obama couldn't do it.
10:23Nobody could do it.
10:24Clinton couldn't do it.
10:25They actually went the other way.
10:26They went into a very bad thing for African-American people, black people.
10:33They went to a, they did very bad things.
10:35I did very good things.
10:36But criminal justice reform.
10:38And then I funded the universities, which nobody else was willing to do.
10:42They were going every year.
10:43They'd come back to Washington and they'd be begging for money, begging.
10:48I got to be friendly with some of the heads of the schools.
10:51And they would come back and they would literally tell me they're forcing us to beg.
10:55I'm the one that got them long-term financing and more than they were looking for.
11:00So there's nobody that's done more.
11:01And I think maybe more than anything else was criminal justice reform.
11:05They've been trying to get it for years.
11:07And I'm the one that got it done.
11:09So nobody can tell me about that.
11:11That somebody posts, a Stanford post, you know, post.
11:14And I knew it was all about, if you take a look at that and see the whole thing,
11:20it was a small section at the very end.
11:23But that was about fraudulent elections, which we have a lot of them.
11:28We're going to get it stopped.
11:30And I liked the beginning.
11:32I saw it and just passed it on.
11:34And I guess probably nobody reviewed the end of it.
11:37Because what I saw at the beginning was really, really strong.
11:41It was about fraudulent elections.
11:43And any time I see that stuff and when it's credible, you put it up.
11:48But somebody slipped and missed a very small part.
11:51Now, by the way, again, it take off one, I guess.
11:54I didn't do it, by the way.
11:55This was done by somebody else.
11:57This was a re-truth.
11:58It was not done by us.
12:00But that was a very strong truth.
12:05It was a very strong statement made about the fraudulent elections in a certain part of our country, which are really bad.
12:12Mr. President, you promised Savannah Guthrie's family the full support of federal law enforcement.
12:17FBI is now on.
12:18I'll give you a little statement.
12:19I think we're doing very well on that regard.
12:22You're probably surprised to hear that.
12:25I think we're doing very well.
12:27Very well, meaning we have some clues, I think, that are very strong.
12:32And I think we could have some answers coming up fairly soon.
12:36Is this a nationwide search?
12:38Is this a search going to Mexico?
12:39I'm not talking about a search.
12:40I'm talking about a solution.
12:43We have some things, I think, that will maybe come out reasonably soon.
12:48From DOJ or FBI or whoever, that could be...
12:53A suspect?
12:55Yeah, it could be definitive.
12:58Sir, you can't...
12:59A lot's taken place in the last couple of hours.
13:03A lot of things have happened with regard to that horrible situation in the last couple of hours.
13:09Mr. President, at the very least, do you condemn the racist parts of the video?
13:14Of course I do.
13:15The Dow and S&P have done really well under you, Mr. President.
13:19The Dow and S&P have done very well under you.
13:22Do you think that there's still more...
13:23Everything's done well.
13:24Do you think there's still more...
13:25Everything.
13:25What has it done well?
13:26Do you think there's still more to do for Americans who can't afford to invest in the stock market?
13:30Well, I brought prices way down.
13:32You don't hear it anymore.
13:33You know, when I first came in, the Democrats were screaming affordability.
13:36And I just got there.
13:38Remember eggs?
13:39Because eggs were up four times higher than they ever were.
13:42And that was, I think, my first press conference was about three days in.
13:47And they were screaming about eggs.
13:48They said, I didn't do it.
13:49They did it.
13:50We got the eggs down.
13:51We got the groceries down.
13:52We got it all down.
13:53It's really going good.
13:54Now we have interest rates.
13:55We have a great new Fed person coming in, hopefully soon.
13:59Interest rates are trending downward, even without that.
14:03And it's been amazing.
14:05I mean, we have potentially the greatest economy in history.
14:11If you look at what's happened, $18 trillion.
14:14We have $18 trillion coming in.
14:16No other country's gotten anywhere near that.
14:18No other country.
14:19China, nobody.
14:21And I think we have potentially the greatest.
14:23And you're going to see that when these factories that are being up.
14:27We have car plants, AI plants, many plants.
14:31And thousands of businesses right now are being built.
14:34When they start opening up in a year from now, less than a year from now,
14:37it's going to be something that I don't think we've ever witnessed before in this country.
14:41We've never, nobody's ever seen investment like this.
14:45We have never seen anything like it.
14:47So it's very exciting.
14:48But when you add that to the best crime numbers we've ever had,
14:52when you add that to so many other things, the wall.
14:55As an example, we had a border that was out of control.
14:5825 million people came in during four years of Biden.
15:01We had nobody coming in.
15:02They come in, but they come in legally.
15:04They have to come in legally.
15:06Our country's doing really well.
15:08Mr. President, you're suing the federal government about your taxes.
15:12I'm wondering, is it fair to ask the American people to pay for that?
15:17Well, anything I win, I'm going to give 100% to charity.
15:21But that still takes it from the American people.
15:23No, no, because they give money to charity anyway.
15:25They give away $40 billion a year to charity, our government.
15:28You know, our government gives away $40 billion plus a year to charity.
15:34So anything I win from that.
15:36But when they go and release your tax returns, which is totally illegal,
15:40people go to jail for that.
15:41And they've already found a person that did it.
15:44And as you know, they got in big trouble.
15:47And based upon that and other things, we did.
15:49And we did sue.
15:52And anything I win, I'm giving 100% to charity.
15:55Really good, very, very good and respected charities.
15:59Do you decide to be with?
16:00The Winter Olympics begin this weekend, Mr. President.
16:03I just spoke to Marco Rubi.
16:05I just spoke to J.D. Vance.
16:07They're over in Italy.
16:09And they're representing us very well.
16:11They're doing a great job.
16:13Did you see that the Vice President got booed during the opening ceremony, though?
16:16What do you make of that sort of frosty?
16:18The Vice President got booed during the opening ceremony.
16:21What do you make of that frosty?
16:23No, is that true?
16:25Is that right?
16:25Yeah.
16:26It's surprising because people like him.
16:28Well, I mean, he is in a foreign country, you know, in all fairness.
16:30But he doesn't get booed in this country.
16:34Is there a particular sport you're interested in seeing?
16:37In the Super Bowl, who are you going for?
16:39What, the game?
16:40The Super Bowl, yeah.
16:41I can't say that.
16:42But they are really two good teams.
16:45Very interesting because you had one quarterback who looks like he wasn't going to make it,
16:49and he made it.
16:50And then you have another one who's young, and they probably wish they played him last year,
16:54right?
16:54He's done great.
16:56But you have two great teams.
16:57Bob Draft is a fabulous owner, a friend of mine.
17:01New England's amazing that they're there.
17:03Who would think?
17:04It's like a second, you can't say dynasty yet.
17:07They had a dynasty.
17:09You don't have to win a lot of games before you create another one.
17:11But I think it's going to be a great game for you.
17:14There's a lot of interesting storylines.
17:18What was your message to the many Americans who were offended by the video?
17:22What did you want to tell those Americans?
17:23I didn't know about it, so I mean, it went up.
17:25I really have no message.
17:27All I know is, here's my message, that our country has never been in a position like this.
17:32We were a lamping stock all over the world, and now we're a country that's respected more
17:37than we've ever been respected before.
17:39If you go back a year and a half ago, our country was a laughing stock, and now we're
17:44respected all over the world, like probably almost never before.
17:49I would say maybe like never before.
17:50And, you know, it's, if you look at it from an economic standpoint, the King of Saudi Arabia
17:56said it, others said it, we were not a country that was even thought of as a country that
18:03was going to make it back.
18:04And in one year, we're the hottest country.
18:07We are right now the hottest country anywhere in the world, so that's my message.
18:12Thank you very, very much.
18:13Thank you, Mr. President.
