00:00The decision today, what does it make you think about the future of philanthropy and also just the future of our country?
00:05Well, I'll tell you, my actual very first thought was I remember being at the first Obama inauguration.
00:13And I remember swirling around was this concept of being post-racial.
00:18And in the work that I'm in today, and then on a day like today, I ask myself, is this what post-racial looks like?
00:27Is it post-racial that right now, if you told me the zip code that you're born in, I can tell you what your life is likely to be like?
00:38I can tell you how many investments and divestments are likely to happen inside of your community?
00:43And I can tell you with alarming precision when and how you will die.
00:50Is that post-racial?
00:52I think not.
00:54That's what I thought.
