00:00So you've seen the 90s, you've seen the early 2000s and then the sudden shift to OTT.
00:05How excited were you to come back and play this certain character?
00:09Very, very excited.
00:11But at the same time, I was a wee bit scared.
00:14I'd say scared or nervous because...
00:17How was it working with collaborating with Jackie Shrop?
00:20Because I'm sure, like, what was the camaraderie on and off screen with him?
00:24See, when you're with your hero, you only worship.
00:26For me, no Hollywood actor has ever meant as much as Dada has meant to me.
00:32When can we expect Hero 3 to come out?
00:36How is your bond with Keir Rahul like?
00:39For me, he means the world to me.
00:41I'm nervous when he plays.
00:44I've got butterflies in my stomach every time he plays.
00:47Who brings out your softest side?
00:49Is it Athiya Ahan or your granddaughter?
00:53Today, I'd say my granddaughter.
00:55I wake up in the morning dreaming of her and wanting to spend time with her.
01:00And I rush back home wanting to be with her again.
01:03So my whole day and thought process revolves around her.
01:07What is it that love or relationship has specifically taught you?
01:13What your partner has done for you and what she continues to do for you.
01:17How has she brought up your children?
01:20How does she take care of your parents even today?
01:23How much trust does she have in you?
01:25I'd like to welcome you to Table for Two by Asianet News Network.
01:30Firstly, congratulations on becoming a grandfather.
01:36How does that feel like?
01:37Heavenly.
01:38There's no better feeling.
01:40You know, they always say,
01:40which means interest is far more interesting than the capital also.
01:45And that's exactly the way it is.
01:47I mean, I think I wake up in the morning dreaming of her and wanting to spend time with her.
01:54And I rush back home wanting to be with her again.
01:57So my whole day and thought process revolves around her.
02:01So what duties are you doing currently?
02:04Entertaining her, making sure that I make her laugh, try to burp her once in a while.
02:09Oh, the burping duties also.
02:10Yeah, it's also, they're very much there.
02:12And as a grandfather, I want to do everything.
02:14You know, the thing is, growing up, I was working.
02:18Didn't get as much time to spend with Tia.
02:21Though I was a very conscious father and I did that.
02:23But the little, little things you miss out on.
02:26But now as a grandfather, I see how much, there's so much that a mother does.
02:33Yeah.
02:33You know, probably I didn't appreciate it in mana as a wife.
02:37But as a grandfather, I see Tia going through so much, you know.
02:41The hours that they put in, wanting to do everything herself.
02:46You know, so there's, there's, there's again, more and more respect for the wife, for the daughter, for the, for my own mother.
02:53It's unreal.
02:54And getting to spend quality time.
02:57Yeah.
02:57You know, because I dictate when it comes to time.
02:59Yeah, because you've been a family man for so many years.
03:02Yeah, but you know what?
03:03The little, little things, it's, it's, when Tia was born, or Han was born, I was working 24-7.
03:10Of course, they traveled with me wherever I went, but they never came to the set.
03:14So it's only after I go back that I, I get time, you know.
03:18Yeah.
03:18But today, everything revolves around this little one.
03:21Wow.
03:21I don't feel like going to work.
03:23I call in, of course, if it's a film or this, which is controlled now.
03:27You know, I control how much I want to do.
03:29I decide not to go to office.
03:30And I say, you know what?
03:31Work from home.
03:32That works for me conveniently.
03:33Let's take a day off.
03:34No, work from home.
03:34It works for me conveniently.
03:36Yeah.
03:36But what was the feeling when you held up for the first time?
03:39Oh, heavenly.
03:40Absolutely.
03:40It took me a while to hold her.
03:42Yeah.
03:42When she was absolutely little, because you're scared, you know, and that practice is not
03:47there anymore.
03:48And that's my, my life's life.
03:51So, you know, extra amount of caution, but heavenly.
03:56Even the first time I looked at her, it was absolutely heavenly.
03:59I got the feeling that, and she was all, you know, open-eyed and looking straight at
04:05her, at her parents and her grandfather.
04:08So it was the best feeling in the world.
04:09We get back to this, because I want to explore this more with you.
04:13Talking about Hunter to its come out, OTT space, and, you know, you've been here for
04:21a very bad, over three decades, right?
04:23So you've seen the 90s, you've seen the early 2000s, and then the sudden shift to OTT.
04:28Now, talking specifically about the series, ACP Vikram, you return as that.
04:34And there's a lot of tenacity that requires to play this kind of role.
04:40Obviously, like, you've been a sportsman all your life, so I'm sure it must have not
04:44been that difficult.
04:45But this character is also very layered emotionally, because he's not just chasing criminals.
04:50He's chasing ghosts.
04:51He's chasing answers.
04:53So what was it like navigating through this role?
04:56And how excited were you to come back and play this certain character?
05:01Very, very excited.
05:02But at the same time, I was a wee bit scared.
05:05I'd say scared or nervous, because coming back to action after such a long time, and
05:10not just action, you know, your directors, your action director, the network itself, your
05:16producers expect you to fight.
05:18They want every frame, they want to see your face.
05:20They don't want to use a double.
05:22It was easy when I was 20 or 30 or 40.
05:24But that's when you're 60 plus, it takes a lot out of you.
05:28Yeah, that's what I wanted to ask you.
05:29It takes a lot out of you.
05:30Was it challenging?
05:31It is challenging.
05:32It was challenging.
05:33It is challenging.
05:34It will always be challenging now.
05:36Because your body slows down.
05:37Yes.
05:38Your body slows down.
05:40Metabolism is slower.
05:42You need to rest a lot more.
05:44You need to stretch a lot more.
05:46Your flexibility is nowhere compared to what you are.
05:49You're injury prone.
05:50It's like wet tissue.
05:52You know, when you handle a wet tissue, it's not, it's very, very difficult to handle it.
05:58So every time I went into action, I made sure that I saw the rehearsals 10 times
06:03and then went into a one take from an action.
06:06Because if I had to do it again, it's a tough one.
06:10Are you normally but a one take actor?
06:12When it comes to action, I've always been.
06:16Even when it comes to scene, I do a lot of my homework.
06:18I'm scared.
06:19I'm like a young kid who's in school.
06:21So the curiosity is still there?
06:23Like that nervousness?
06:24Probably 10 times more because I took a long break.
06:29Four years with dad and then three, four years of not working.
06:33So, and then the pandemic.
06:34So like an eight, nine year where I didn't know what the camera was and I didn't know
06:38how it behaved.
06:40Because everything has changed.
06:42You know, the equipment has changed.
06:44The directors have changed.
06:45The vision has changed.
06:47There's so many people telling you what to do.
06:49The director was the only man who told us what to do earlier.
06:53But now there's so many, there's so much of layering and departments and so many monitors
06:59all around the place and 10 guys telling a director, see this, see this, this, this.
07:04Fortunately, I had directors who also believed in me and, you know, had worked with me in season one.
07:09But, yeah, so it's tough, physically, very tough, mentally and far, far more mature when it comes
07:18to performance.
07:20Real is in, in a big way when it comes to acting.
07:23Over the top is out.
07:24Yes.
07:25So you can cut down on that and you can feel the emotion.
07:29So I think, you know, I've been, I felt the emotion.
07:32For me, that little girl was a Tia missing in my life.
07:35And what would I do or how would I behave at a time like this?
07:39Yes.
07:39You know, and so comparatively, easier.
07:42But physicality, very, very tough, very tough.
07:46And continue, and it will continue to be.
07:48How was it working with, collaborating with Jackie Shrubb?
07:51Because I'm sure, like, what was the camaraderie on and off screen with him?
07:54See, when you're with your hero, you only worship.
07:57You know, he's been, he's been my hero ever.
07:59When I was 14, he was probably 19.
08:01When I was 12, he was 17.
08:03And I used to watch him at Napianshi Road and the usual hangout places as a young boy.
08:10And literally worship him.
08:14For me, no Hollywood actor has ever meant as much as Dada has meant to me.
08:19Really?
08:20And then when we grew up, we became friends.
08:22We started hanging out together.
08:23You know, after a certain age, age never matters.
08:26Then he got into the movies.
08:27And I followed that, that journey of his.
08:31And then got an opportunity to do films.
08:34So there's so much that I've learned from him.
08:37The kind of human being he is.
08:39Do you guys have, like, a specific banter?
08:42Yeah, yeah, throughout.
08:42Even in, even in, in the series.
08:45He's a salesman.
08:46And personally also.
08:47Yeah.
08:48Tremendous amount of banter.
08:49You see the two of us together.
08:51We're, we're a riot here.
08:53Yeah.
08:53On anything and everything.
08:54And we share a lot of common interests, whether it's sport, whether it's nature, whether it's, you know, outdoors and the mountains and being to ourselves and not really introverts, but at the same time staying away from the glitz and glam.
09:10Yeah.
09:10You know, it's, even if we are there somewhere, we're in and out without anybody really knowing.
09:16We bond a hell of a lot together.
09:17Yeah.
09:17Because there are a lot, many things that are common.
09:20Taigi and Krishna, Amain and Mana's God kids.
09:24So we're their God parents.
09:25Wow.
09:25You know, and been in, the kids have been to the same school, Latia and Krishna have been in, through kindergarten together to date.
09:35Taigi and Ahan were in the same school.
09:36So Ahan loves Taigi and the way he does his action and everything about him.
09:42Yeah.
09:42So there's a lot, lot in common and a lot of appreciation.
09:46So is it like legacy friendship continuing forward?
09:48I, I, I definitely think so.
09:51And I hope so too.
09:52Okay, so now, as I ask that you've been here for more than three decades and you've seen how the industry has sort of revolutionized and it's difficult to adapt to certain changes.
10:04How did you adapt to change?
10:06And definitely with OTT space, it gives space to great characters as well.
10:11Absolutely.
10:12The hero doesn't have to be as masculine always.
10:15There is a space to be, you know, great, not just black and white.
10:18Right.
10:19So how have you adapted to it?
10:21And people who are actually entering the industry right now or are trying to navigate through that change, what advice would you give to them?
10:29I think for them, first of all, what is very, very important, like any other profession, you have to master the craft.
10:35You know, whatever you do, you educate yourself in the craft.
10:38When I mean by education, I don't mean a six pack.
10:41Yeah.
10:41On your skills, make sure that you do your workshops, you go to school, assist if you can, understand what the camera is, what it likes, what it dislikes, shoot yourself in every possible way.
10:56Today, thanks to your mobile, there's so much that you can do.
10:59Yes.
11:00Understand, understand what you believe suits you and what doesn't suit you.
11:05Bring your positives out.
11:07Leave the, bring your positives out and leave the negatives out.
11:11You know, so start working on yourself before you actually believe that you want to be a part of this journey.
11:18Believe in yourself and give it your all.
11:23For me, never say never and manifest.
11:28Yeah.
11:29Work towards it.
11:30Do you believe in manifestation?
11:32Yeah, absolutely.
11:33Absolutely.
11:33I definitely believe in it and I believe that is what changes everything for you.
11:38I am who I am, but my attitude depends on who you are.
11:42Yeah.
11:42You know, and that's the kind of approach you need to have and, you know, there's no substitute
11:48for consistency, confidence and hard work.
11:51Yeah.
11:51So be consistent with what you do.
11:53Day in and day out, if it's a struggle, continue to struggle.
11:56Believing that, that's where it is.
11:59Take baby steps, but do take those steps, you know.
12:03But you did pass on the baton to your kids, right?
12:07Ahan and Atia both, right?
12:09What was that one advice that you gave while they were sort of entering the world of...
12:15Prep, make sure you understood your craft very well.
12:19Don't let success get to you and don't let failure ever scare you.
12:25Wow.
12:25You know, my only thing was don't let failure scare you.
12:28Yes.
12:29Because that's not the be all and end all of everything.
12:32It's the first phase.
12:33The first step is just learning.
12:35From that failure, gain that experience, learn something and move on.
12:40And that's what I've done in my career.
12:42You know, I'm someone who listens to everybody.
12:44I have my own opinions.
12:45You know, and when I discuss with my directors, my directors will vouch that I would sit with
12:51them in the van, give them my...
12:56Tell them, talk to them about my experience.
12:58Tell them what I feel about it.
13:00Listen to them.
13:01And then we conclude that, oh, this is the way it's going to go.
13:04The minute I step out of the van, I am a student.
13:08They are my directors and I'm the actor and I will obey anything and everything they say.
13:14Yeah.
13:14So just be someone who wants to learn all the time.
13:17Because this craft is amazing.
13:18Yeah.
13:18You know, this whole world is amazing.
13:21Yeah.
13:22And with this industry that's so, like, likely to change, let's say, just as a metaphor,
13:28you know, every Friday there's a new release and there's another love buster or your careers
13:34literally depend on that.
13:35So how do you ground yourself amongst the glitz and the glamour of the industry?
13:40It's a perception.
13:41I always say it's a perception.
13:43It's how you look at anything and everything, you know.
13:47And what is perception?
13:48It's the thought process between the mind and the eye.
13:52The eye believes what it sees.
13:55Yes.
13:55And the mind sees what it believes.
13:58Wow.
13:59So you have to look at it both ways.
14:01After a Friday, there'll be another Friday.
14:04And pray that if me and you are working together, I'd say, I pray for your success.
14:09But I also pray for my success.
14:11Yeah.
14:12You know, and if that's the way you are and that's the way you think, you'll never be,
14:17you'll never get anxious about anything.
14:21You'll never be depressed about anything.
14:25Because you've got to believe that my turn will come.
14:28It's his turn.
14:29Yes.
14:30God believes and decides that it's his turn.
14:32See the new kids on the block, the last super hit film.
14:36Yeah.
14:36The kids were there for six years and seven years.
14:38And how did they get their due?
14:41So they deserve it.
14:42Be happy for them.
14:43Yeah.
14:43And don't start comparing.
14:45Because the minute you start comparing yourself to others is when you feel like an underachiever.
14:51And that's not the truth.
14:53That's not the truth.
14:55You will get your opportunity.
14:57Abide by that and do it.
14:59You know.
14:59Yeah.
15:00So I honestly believe that learning, learning, learning, learning, that journey should continue.
15:06There's no shortcut to it really.
15:07There are so many, so many ways of beginning.
15:13It doesn't directly have to be a movie.
15:15It could be anchoring.
15:16It could be news.
15:18It could be your own blog.
15:19Yeah.
15:20Don't work for visibility.
15:22Work for value.
15:24Value what you're doing.
15:26Understand why you're doing it.
15:28How does it position you?
15:30Am I doing something for visibility and will I be wiped out within no time?
15:34Then don't do it.
15:35But am I getting visibility?
15:37Am I adding value to myself?
15:39Am I meeting the right people?
15:41Am I being projected on the right platform?
15:44Am I being showcased in the best possible way is what you have to look at.
15:49Yes.
15:49You know, I believe in the last three or four years, I've added value to everything that I've done.
15:56Okay.
15:56You know, I've got younger kids connecting to me.
15:59Not because of my body of work.
16:01Recently, I saw when you were promoting your last film, I saw you consoling Suraj and Jolie on screen.
16:08I'm sure he also looks up to you because your daughter sort of debuted with him and everything.
16:12So you are there for younger kids, right?
16:15Absolutely.
16:15Absolutely.
16:16Not just for your kids.
16:17No.
16:18No.
16:18Always.
16:19And it's never been mine or someone else's.
16:22Whoever has worked with me, I mean, they're the ones who should talk more than I do.
16:25But I give it my best.
16:27I give it my best to make them feel comfortable.
16:30I'll rest the lines with them.
16:32I would mess up a few times.
16:34The minute I realize you and me are working together and I realize that there's a mistake that you've made and I can see you're nervous.
16:41On my own, I'll try and do that two, three times myself, just to comfort you without telling you that we all make mistakes.
16:49We've all been through this.
16:50I don't want to come and tell you that I'd mess up and tell my director, shit, you know, I never learn, I think.
17:00Yeah.
17:00I'm such a bad actor.
17:01Yeah.
17:02Yeah.
17:02And then you have that kid telling you, no, sir, you were good, sir.
17:05That's what you want, you know, and so it's one way of handling.
17:10You've got to understand what the situation is and handle it accordingly.
17:13Every situation, even if it's a similar situation, there are different ways to handle it.
17:18Yes.
17:19You know, depending on what it means right now and how it is.
17:25Definitely.
17:25Yes.
17:26But, you know, like, have industry friendships also evolved over time?
17:31Like, who would you consider your closest now?
17:33From a friend perspective, all friends, I am not someone who, I won't say party is too much.
17:41I'm not an outgoing person.
17:43I'm someone who...
17:43So you're a homebody?
17:44I'm absolutely a homebody.
17:46So, anybody who I believe I've shared a great working relationship is someone who I believe is a friend.
17:55Jack and me go a long way.
17:56Yeah.
17:57You know, Dath and Mia are equally close.
18:00Sajidhar.
18:00Abhishek, yeah, Abhishek and me, Ajay, Akshay, we've shared, we've stood up for each other.
18:06You know, we went through times where the lows were the low for all of us and the highs were all of us together.
18:11We were there for our workers.
18:12We were there for our teams.
18:14We worked for charity.
18:15We worked for the industry.
18:18Somewhere down the line today, I'm seeing it.
18:19It's alienated.
18:20I feel agencies are controlling the kids and telling them what to do, whom to meet, whom not to meet, why does this matter, why doesn't that matter?
18:29For us, subject matter, not just the production house.
18:32But the realness, that touch, it's gone?
18:36It's gone in general because we're depending on the virtual world.
18:40Yes.
18:40Don't you think that the stars today are too available to people because of the virtual world?
18:46Possibly, but that's the narrative that has been given that the more you've seen, the more brands you get, which is suddenly you realize they're eyeballs.
18:52They don't convert into sales necessarily.
18:57So, you know, these are the things you learn over a period of time.
18:59That's why I said, don't look for visibility, look for value.
19:02Abuse is not views.
19:03That was very good advice.
19:05I'm going to take that.
19:06No, but even abuse is not views.
19:07If you abuse me, don't believe that you're going to get views.
19:10You might get views, but you'll get a thousand of my followers who will hate you for who you are.
19:15That's where the diminishing world starts.
19:17You know, you're not realizing.
19:18You feel, oh, God, I've got eyeballs.
19:20But you hit 10 Sunil Shati so bad that the 11th interview you'll never get.
19:25You know, and so just being conscious, staying focused on what you're doing is all I'd say.
19:34Now, a lot of fans actually want to know, when can we expect Hira Theory 3 to come out?
19:40It is coming out.
19:41Yes.
19:41And this is a question that I'm going to deal with on the release of that film because I feel I jinx it.
19:50I think next year for sure.
19:52Summer next year for sure.
19:54But I don't want to talk about it because, you know, they say it could be a bad omen.
20:00A good omen is also, it's too sweet sometimes.
20:03You know, too much sugar is also diabetes.
20:06And I don't want that happening with my film.
20:08Because I've been jinxed too often.
20:10Another question that I have, you spoke about manifestation, right?
20:15And you did talk about that you did manifest your son-in-law before Aditya decided to marry him, right?
20:22So how is your bond with KL Rahul?
20:25Manifest it in the sense every father believes that he wants a dream son-in-law.
20:30Yeah.
20:31A son-in-law would love his daughter more than she would ever love him, you know.
20:35And I think that's KL Rahul and that's Rahul.
20:40My relationship is like my relationship with Ahan.
20:43Okay.
20:44You know, me and Rahula, as for me, he means the world to me.
20:48I'm nervous when he plays.
20:50Wow.
20:51I've got butterflies in my stomach every time he plays.
20:54Every good thing I read about him, I won't tell the world the way I'm feeling.
20:58And every bad review that it's about him, I want to kill the person who's written it.
21:02So that's a typical father, you know, and that's my relationship with him.
21:07But I know the kind of soul that he is.
21:10So extremely happy for Tia.
21:14And I always tell Tia that blessed you are that you've got a life partner like that.
21:19Another question before we switch the gears to sort of something called rapid fire.
21:24Last question.
21:26You've been a devoted husband as well for a very long time.
21:31Have had a beautiful marriage.
21:33You've raised your kids so beautifully, actually.
21:36And that's visible, you know.
21:37So what is it that love or relationship has specifically taught you that fame or your work couldn't ever teach you?
21:49Faith and love for each other.
21:50And you've got to realize what your partner has done for you and what she continues to do for you.
21:58How has she brought up your children?
22:01How does she take care of your parents even today?
22:04How much trust does she have in you?
22:06Mana, trust me blindly.
22:08So it's my duty to make sure.
22:10Likewise.
22:10Yeah, absolutely.
22:11Yeah, yeah, for sure.
22:12And see, I am in this world which has got all the glamour available there.
22:19So I have to be more conscious about anything.
22:22If she trusts me blindly, she just knows me, you know.
22:26Whether it's food, whether it's anything to do with what I want, one look and I feel something is missing.
22:33It could be as much as the toothpaste is done with and I feel, oh yeah, tomorrow morning, shit, I need to tell them.
22:40And I forget it.
22:41It's there the next morning.
22:43Likewise, it could be the shaving foam, which she probably doesn't know about.
22:48The little things, the little things, which is everything, which is everything.
22:53The little things are everything, you know.
22:55Yeah, they say that, you know, for actors, it's very important.
22:58A lot of people say that, you know, it's very important for them to like, you know, when they look back at the journey,
23:04I'm sure you also look back at your journey and you think that I must have some time at least should have,
23:10I should have stopped to smell the roses.
23:12Yeah, yeah, yeah, absolutely, all the time.
23:15And I'm conscious about this all the time because, see, we talk about 32, 30, probably 40, 41 years of life together.
23:25Yes.
23:26That's a long time.
23:28Yeah.
23:28Even before she came into film, she sacrificed so much.
23:31Wow.
23:32Nine years, being clear that my parents would say no, she stood by me.
23:38What was she, what was she, what had she to look forward to?
23:41Nothing.
23:43Did I argue with my parents that I didn't, that I wanted to marry her?
23:46No.
23:46Was I going to be a rebel, fight and get away from home?
23:49No.
23:50But I told my parents that if I marry, it'll only be her, otherwise nobody else.
23:55I don't want to destroy two lives.
23:57So I didn't argue with my parents.
23:59So you're still besortled with her.
24:01Absolutely, absolutely.
24:02As a grandmother, I think she's the most beautiful grandmother on earth.
24:05Wow.
24:06You know, and the way she is with the grandchild is something that is magical.
24:10That bond is unbelievable.
24:12So you, that is also a way of telling you, my God, what kind of a partner do you have?
24:20She doesn't have to say anything to me.
24:22Over a period of time, marriage is something that is so beautiful and there's different stages.
24:27It was first husband and wife and love.
24:29And then came the child, then came the education of the children, then the children growing their careers, then the two of you spending time together, then the grandchild.
24:40You know, now so much to look forward to.
24:42Yeah, yeah.
24:42Yeah, definitely.
24:43So now we are going to swiftly move on to something I call rapid fire.
24:48It's a very redundant game.
24:50But it's scary for me.
24:51You know why?
24:52No, it's nothing controversial.
24:53No, no, not about controversy.
24:55It's just that I take my time to think.
24:57Yeah.
24:58And now one co-star who brings out the goofy side of you still.
25:04Took you from a crazy perspective.
25:06Yeah, goofy.
25:07The goofy side of you.
25:08Paresh Rawal.
25:09Paresh Rawal.
25:10Absolutely, all the time.
25:11Okay.
25:12All the time.
25:12Now, do you believe a true superstar still exists or has that era passed?
25:18I think I've aged, so I don't see it that way.
25:20But for me, sports and superstars still exist.
25:24Yeah?
25:24Yeah, yeah, yeah.
25:25For sure.
25:25Who's your favourite?
25:26Virat Kohli.
25:27Oh, Virat Kohli.
25:28Absolutely.
25:29Also your son-in-law?
25:30My son-in-law, it's my son.
25:32It's for the world to say.
25:33If I say it, he'll say, hey, my father-in-law is promoting his own son.
25:36And though I'm a huge fan of his, not only for the cricketer that he is, but for the human being and the personality that he is.
25:44Yes.
25:45The way he treats people.
25:46What's that one quality you see in your children that you're proudest of?
25:51Honest.
25:52They're honest?
25:53Absolutely.
25:54100% honest.
25:56Both of them.
25:57Do you and Marama look at them and sometimes you think like, oh, we did it.
26:01Yeah, yeah.
26:01For sure.
26:02For sure.
26:03Yeah?
26:04Okay.
26:04No, and I think Mana and me probably talk about this every single day.
26:08Yeah?
26:09Yeah.
26:10Wow.
26:10You know, there are gestures about Ahan, Atiya, and I would add Rahul now.
26:16That gets me teary-eyed every single day.
26:19Every single day.
26:22One of them will do something where I feel blessed.
26:26Wow.
26:26You know, we are blessed.
26:27It's beautiful.
26:28Who brings out your softest side?
26:30Is it Atiya, Ahan, or your granddaughter?
26:32Today, I'd say my granddaughter.
26:36Yeah.
26:37But it's always been Atiya.
26:40Yeah.
26:40Because I've always looked at Ahan as a tough boy, you know, out there.
26:44But Tia has got out every emotion in me.
26:48Every time as an actor, they say, you know, you relate to something that has happened in
26:53your life or relate to someone that has happened in your life to get that emotional change.
26:58And if I ever wanted a Tia in my eye, it was, I used to think of Tia and do it.
27:03Has becoming a grandfather changed the way you see time or legacy?
27:07Yes.
27:08For sure.
27:09I believe, I have all the time in the world today for her.
27:14And I don't care about anything else.
27:17No legacy.
27:18Nothing matters.
27:19Yeah.
27:19Something that is called Advice Hotline.
27:22I'm going to throw some names to you and you have to tell me, why would you go to this
27:26person for what advice?
27:27Okay.
27:27So if you had to like go to Salman Khan for some advice, what would it be?
27:31To understand the difference between a human being and being human.
27:36Salman Khan is being human.
27:39We're all human beings, but…
27:42You're very fond of him?
27:44I love him.
27:45And again, because of the kind of person he is.
27:49That's why I said human being and being human.
27:51Being human is being able to do things for people and just give.
27:57And a human being is someone who's there for survival.
28:01Yeah.
28:01You know.
28:02Wow.
28:02Okay.
28:03Akshay Kumar?
28:04Energy.
28:06Yeah.
28:06How do you get that kind of energy?
28:09The belief that everything is going to be right and I'm going to kill it.
28:16Yeah.
28:16You know.
28:17He gives a 20-year-old a run for money.
28:19Ajay Deepa?
28:21Less is more.
28:23Okay.
28:24Someone who lives in this old world, zero controversy.
28:28And still look at him and you know, you know, that's a shoulder I can lean on.
28:35Sanjidat?
28:36The world will say what they have to.
28:41You've got to live in your world.
28:43And he's someone who has a I don't care a damn attitude.
28:48You know, the saying, I am who I am, but my attitude depends on who you are, is what Sanjidat is all about.
28:57Yeah.
28:58He could be with the biggest rock stars in one room and if a dutt walks in, all those rock stars will not, they'll feel like rock.
29:06The star part will be eliminated because he's the original.
29:10Yeah.
29:11Lastly, your why?
29:12For being that complete person.
29:19Yeah.
29:19You know, when you mean, when I mean complete for a man or a woman, you're complete when empathy is how you look at everything.
29:29Blessed is the feeling that you always carry for having.
29:33She's someone who believes she's blessed with everything.
29:38Wow.
29:38Yeah.
29:39That's such a beautiful thing to say about this.
29:41But that's the way she is.
29:42Yeah.
29:43That's the way she is.
29:44It was really lovely hearing your thoughts on everything.
29:48And I wish you carry, continue to carry your legacy and your kids carry to continue your legacy.
29:54And on that note, I'd like to bid you goodbye.
29:57Thank you so much for being here.
