Super C or Super Contra (スーパー魂斗羅 エイリアンの逆襲 Sūpā Kontora: Eirian no Gyakushū in Japan, known as Probotector II: Return of the Evil Forces in the European and Australian versions) is a video game released by Konami in 1988 as a sequel to the game Contra. It was originally released for arcades. It was designed to be played by one or two players simultaneously. In Brazil, the game became known as Super Contra. Super C can be categorized as a platform action game – although there are two stages where the player controls the protagonist from a "top-down" view – consisting of eight stages. The cartridge had 2 megabits of data. Super C was the last game in the "Contra" series to be released on the 8-bit NES system. The third game, titled Contra III: The Alien Wars, was released on the Super NES (16-bit) video game console in 1991.
