Die Hard Arcade, known in Japan as Dynamite Deka (ダイナマイト刑事, Dainamaito Deka, lit. Dynamite Detective) is a beat 'em up video game released by Sega. It was the first beat 'em up to use polygonal graphics with texture mapping,[1] and uses extremely sophisticated movement defined by beat 'em up standards, often being compared to a fighting game in this aspect. The game was published in cooperation with Fox Interactive and was a licensed product based on the Die Hard film franchise. As Sega did not hold the Japanese video game rights to Die Hard, in Japan the game was removed from the Die Hard license and published as original property.
