00:00Chris, you always support women's sports, always showing out for the ladies and women's athletics.
00:07How important is it for this show to specifically shine a light on the young black women at Southern University?
00:14Man, I think it's very important.
00:16You know, with Southern being right here, down in Baton Rouge, these women, they work hard.
00:21They work really, really hard.
00:22They train day in and day out.
00:24I talked to some of the ladies backstage.
00:27They've been dancing since they were two years old, right?
00:31So to see all of the sacrifice that goes into it.
00:35I'm a father.
00:36I have a 13-year-old son and 9-year-old daughter, right?
00:39So a lot of times they don't get a chance to turn on the TV and see people that look like them.
00:43And especially for my daughter, I'm always going to try to make sure that I empower her
00:47and show her other women of color that are strong and beautiful and doing nice things.
