00:00We're a week from the DHS funding deadline and things aren't looking good. Democratic leaders
00:06Chuck Schumer and Hakeem Jeffries threw down the gauntlet demanding 10 conditions before they'll
00:11agree to funding. The long list of demands was unveiled this week and the biggies are ones Dems
00:17have been rallying for for some time now and ones you've likely heard before. A ban on ICE entering
00:22private property without a warrant and putting a stop to agents wearing masks. The Dems are also
00:27asking to halt ICE operations near schools, churches and polling places as well as medical
00:32and child care facilities. They also want to prohibit stops based solely on a person's job,
00:37race, ethnicity, language or accent. You know how I just said things weren't looking good? Well
00:43Republicans have already said no to the anti-mask and warrant demands. The Department of Homeland
00:48Security is the only major federal agency that does not have full funding through the end of
00:53the fiscal year, which is September 30th. Without a budget agreement, there's a risk of yet another
00:59shutdown that could affect things like TSA screenings, Coast Guard missions and FEMA disaster
01:04responses. So here's hoping lawmakers are ready to work through the weekend. And speaking of
01:09immigration enforcement, a new show of support for ICE agents is popping up across the country to
01:14counter growing anti-ICE sentiment. And it's coming in the form of billboards placed in swing states full of
01:20positive encouragement for DHS and noting, quote, liberal hypocrisy messages reading, let them do
01:26their jobs or ICE officers, our fathers, mothers, brothers, sisters, uncles, aunts, cousins, friends
01:32were plastered along high traffic areas in Georgia, North Carolina and Michigan. Another sign that points
01:38out what it calls the hypocrisy of liberals features a quote from former President Obama that reads,
01:43quote, Americans are right to demand better border security and better enforcement of the
01:48immigration laws. The sign then asks, hey, liberals, what's changed? The conservative nonprofit Citizens
01:55for Sanity footed the billboard bill. The executive director of the group told the Post the campaign
02:00is meant to remind voters that, quote, enforcing the law isn't partisan, it's common sense.
