00:00Thank you. We only have time for a few questions. We've got to vote, etc.
00:04Yes.
00:05You've been highly critical of Republicans in the past threatening to shut down the government.
00:11Why did that damage this would do to your constituents, jobs in New York, programs in New York?
00:18Why now is it okay to threaten to shut down the government?
00:22It is not okay. Ask the Republicans why they are heading on this path.
00:28We are doing everything we can to keep the bipartisan appropriations process going.
00:35And they're undermining it with rescissions, with pocket rescissions, with impoundment in every other way.
00:42Yes.
00:43It's been about a month since New York City mayoral primary.
00:46You have yet to endorse the Democratic nominee.
00:49What is holding you back and hopefully will take for you to get to that place?
00:52I'll be meeting with them soon. Yes.
00:55Some allies of the Democratic nominee for America have been threatening the primary challenges against the Jeffries of the Democrats in New York.
01:04Does that risk distract the Democrats from taking back to the House and Senate?
01:07The bottom line is Democrats are united. We are fighting the high costs that American people pay.
01:13We are fighting the health care cuts Republicans are making.
01:16We are fighting the horrible bill that they just passed.
01:20Democrats are united. And we have been far more united, frankly, than the Republicans.
