00:00I am really shocked by the way some unpatriotic Nigerians have gone on social media,
00:05misrepresenting Isho Speed's visit to Nigeria and using it to project a negative image of
00:10their very own country, while attempting to spoil what was a good narrative of a very successful
00:15visit. First of all, Isho Speed never said or implied that Nigeria is smelly. The young man
00:22perhaps achieved his most successful stream during his African tour in Nigeria, reaching a
00:28milestone of 50 million YouTube subscribers whilst in our dearly beloved country. He is the first
00:34black streamer to achieve that milestone, and it occurred in Nigeria, boosted by Nigerian subscribers
00:41appreciative of his visit. What these few unpatriotic Nigerians, who have a grudge against
00:47their own country, fed by a separatist agenda, have done is take a screenshot of a particular stream
00:53where Mr. Darren Jason Watkins Jr. made the face for a few seconds, which he often does all over the
00:59world, upon citing something interesting and peculiar. Using that snapshot, they painted a
01:06false narrative claiming that Lagos is smelly and that Darren Jason Watkins Jr., aka Isho Speed,
01:12did not enjoy his time there and found nothing interesting or cultural to do. Sadly, their
01:19claims have gone wildly viral. In fact, as evidenced by his streams and media coverage, Isho Speed had
01:25perhaps the most eventful moments of his Speed Does Africa tour in Nigeria, which is why he chose to
01:32spend his 21st birthday in our country. He drew his biggest crowds here and was so impressed by that
01:38that he testified about it. He had gastronomical and cultural experiences, including visiting Freedom Park
01:45and eating the world-famous Nigerian jollof rice, which he raved about. Thereafter, he had a belated
01:52Detti December moment by interacting with street dancers in a carnival-like manner, and had intermittent
01:58encounters and conversations with street performers, including a man whose physical strength he celebrated
02:04after attempting and failing to match his iron-bending skills. Isho Speed also enjoyed Nigerian couture when he
02:11got to wear the special Nigerian hat, known as a feeler, made in Nigeria from entirely from made-in-Nigeria
02:18fabric. Something that I have been promoting worldwide, his decision to blend in culturally
02:24with Nigerians through fashion made him so excited that he asked street vendors and onlookers whether he
02:30looked Nigerian. And on his 21st birthday, Isho Speed was surrounded by school children in their school
02:37uniforms, singing the famous happy birthday song to him, almost bringing him to tears. At Freedom Park,
02:45Isho Speed interacted with various Lagos street performers, who taught the quick learn Abu Bakr Malami,
02:51a former Minister of Justice and Attorney General of the Federation who was in office from November 2015
02:57till May 2023 when the then President Mohamedou Buhari completed his eight years' tenure in office,
03:04under which, courts of competent jurisdiction granted several detained Nigerians bail but the Buhari
03:11government refused to release them and even re-arrested some of them after they had perfected their bail
03:17conditions. The then Minister of Justice, Abu Bakr Malami who was saddled with the responsibility of
03:23protecting citizens' rights, came out openly and apparently justified the violations of court orders
03:29by the then Buhari-led government, and during the administration of President Mohamedou Buhari,
03:35Abu Bakr Malami, frequently defended the actions of the government's refusal to obey court's orders of bail
03:41granted to high-profile individuals by asserting that national security and public interest superseded
03:48individual rights. Some of the high-profile individuals included Colonel Sambo Dosuki,
03:53the former national security adviser in the era of President Goodluck Abele Jonathan who was held for
03:59four years from December 2015 to December 2019, despite being granted bail by at least four different
04:07Nigerian high courts and the ECOWAS court. He was repeatedly re-arrested by the Department of State
04:13Services. The SS immediately after fulfilling bail conditions, Sheikh Ibrahim El-Zakaki and his wife Zina,
04:21detained from December 2015 until they were released in July 2021 were refused bail after
04:28federal court declared the detention illegal in 2016 and ordered their release by January 2017,
04:35but the government under which Abu Bakr Malami was a justice minister did not comply, until they were
04:41eventually acquitted of all charges by a Kaduna State High Court in 2021. Also, Omiyele Sawari,
04:48an activist and a journalist who is the founder of Sahara Reporters News Media remained in DSS custody for
04:55several months in 2019 despite fulfilling bail conditions set by Justice Higeo Morijuku. He was
05:02re-arrested within the courtroom just 24 hours after a temporary release. Nandi Kanu, the convicted and
05:09jailed indigenous people of Biafra, IPOB leader was refused bail during his initial trial in 2015.
05:16President Buhari then publicly stated during a media chat that Kanu among others would not be
05:22allowed to go on bail due to the nature of their alleged crimes, despite court rulings. In addition,
05:29was Navy Captain Dada Labinjo who was detained by the Nigeria military from September 2018 until at least
05:36late 2019. Despite a federal high court order, Nigeria military authority has confirmed the death
05:43of five soldiers and one police officer in an ambush launched by terrorists on Monday at Giddenwagny area
05:49of Zamfara State. The incident may be a reminder of incessant cases of high rates of Nigeria losing
05:55its soldiers and other security operatives in ambush, especially as observed as a worsening situation in
06:02the year 2025. With the ambush of army barracks and killing of the men of the armed forces at Nigeria,
06:09AFN by terrorists in large number began as early as January 2025. It may be recalled that in January 2025,
06:18terrorists launched an attack on the 149 Battalion in Malamfattori, Orno State, leading to the killing of
06:25over 20 military personnel, including a battalion commander and senior officers. Within the first
06:32quarter, a careful review of news reports showed that more than 100 Nigeria soldiers were reportedly
06:38killed in the first quarter of 2025 by terrorists mostly in ambush. In June 2025, terrorists' attacks on
06:47three army bases in central and northwestern Nigeria resulted in the killing of at least 17 soldiers.
06:53soldiers. And in September 2025, a major ambush on the Barga Medaguri Road was reported,
07:00where at least 40 soldiers were killed and 65 went missing. While in October 2025,
07:06at least four soldiers were killed in a Boko Haram ambush in Borno State, while another encounter in
07:12Kamshe resulted in one soldier killed and by November 2025, the Nigerian army confirmed the death of
07:19Brigadier General Musa Uba and two other soldiers following an ambush by ISWAP terrorists near Wajiruko
07:27town in Borno State which some local media reported that several soldiers were killed during the ambush.
07:33Even some of the local media stated that those who escaped the ambush like the Brigadier General were
07:38traced and killed by the terrorists apparently after hours of no rescue or prompt reinforcement by the
07:44Nigeria military authority. According to Captain David Adawasi, the media information officer of
07:51Operation Fancenyama, the five soldiers and the police officer were killed while the troops were returning from
07:57a successful operation and responding to a distress call of terrorists attack in a community in Zamfara State.
08:03In his words, Captain David Adawasi said, Troops of Operation Fancenyama, OPFY, Joint Task Force North-West,
08:14have demonstrated exceptional bravery, professionalism, and resilience following a terrorist ambush along the
08:20Binghi-Kekken-Wajay-Gusau Road in Zamfara State on 19 January 2026. The ambush followed a series of successful
08:29offenses. Peter Obi, the former Anambra state governor and last presidential candidate of the
08:35Labour Party in the Nigeria 2023 general elections has insisted that the three brothers among the 12
08:41persons that died as a result of fire that engulfed the 25-story building of Great Nigeria Insurance
08:48House Plaza at Balagun Market in Lagos Island on Christmas Eve, called for help for days with no
08:54emergency response from the government under the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tanubu, saying,
09:01the three siblings, Mr. Stephen Onyeka Omatu aged 40, Mr. Kazmir Nabuk Omatu aged 39, and Mr. Collins
09:09Kenichuku Omatu aged 37, for days, sent distressing police for help while trapped in the building.
09:16Yet there were no emergency services to rescue them. Several days passed in the rubble before their bodies
09:22were finally recovered, several days of unanswered calls, of a system that failed them at the moment
09:28they needed it most. Peter Obi made this statement after attending the burial ceremony of the three
09:34siblings held at Uzoqua community in Iheala local government area of Anambra state on Wednesday.
09:41After Lagos state government threw the Office of the Commissioner for Information and Strategy,
09:47Benga Omatu in a statement issued on January 1, 2026 stated that as soon as the fire alarm was received
09:55on the day, the government deployed teams of first responders to the scene, including the Lagos
10:00State Fire and Rescue Service, Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, Lagos State Ambulance Services,
10:07security agencies, and other emergency and safety units, but, this statement from the Lagos state
10:13government appears not to be in line with an eyewitness account. A resident who spoke with
10:19News Central Television at the scene of the fire incident that a phone call was made across to a
10:24fire service in Lagos state, but the fire service demanded 30 million nairas service fee before the
10:30fire service would respond to the emergency issue. This, the resident added that if the fire service had
10:37responded on time, the entire building would have been saved probably with no life lost because the fire was
10:43only at a single floor when the fire service was called. According to Punch newspaper, the three
10:50siblings, died after being trapped inside the burning high-rise building in Lagos, an incident that
10:56shocked residents and reignited concerns over fire safety and emergency response in the country.
11:02According to family sources, the intensity of the inferno made rescue efforts impossible,
11:08and only ashes were recovered for burial. The burial brought grief and sorrow to Ihyala community,
11:14with residents praying that, their souls find rest and that their family find strength to pass through.
11:20Inspector General of Police, IGP Kar Yode Egbetokan for days now has refused to speak or deliberately kept
11:27mum after a well-known founder of a private organization, Harrison Guamnishu who have been assisting Nigeria
11:34security operatives with credible and reliable intelligence information that have led to the
11:39killing and arrest of several kidnappers. In a video statement on Saturday revealed the complicit
11:45of the Nigeria police force in aiding and trying to cover up a reasonable suspect behind the kidnapping
11:52of a couple in the late days of November 2025 at Avili community in the Etsuko West local government
11:59area of Edo State, and the reasonable suspect happened to be the younger brother of the man
12:05who was kidnapped alongside his wife, which, the kidnappers only set free the wife after a sting
12:11operational ransom money of 20 million nairas was given to the kidnappers with the reasonable
12:16suspect fully aware of all arrangements of the top secret security plans of Harrison Guamnishu but
12:23decided to make the sensitive security information public even when his elder brother is still held
12:29captive by the kidnappers. The reasonable suspect in a tiktok video live streaming, admitted that he
12:34was actually among the people arrested by soldiers over an issue, he, the reasonable suspect refused to
12:41state. The reasonable suspect among others were handed over to the Nigeria police force for the
12:46continuation of investigation and possible prosecution, but, according to Harrison Guamnishu,
12:53immediately police noticed he was able to recognize the reasonable suspect as a family member who was a
12:59aware of his security plans and he was also the one that helped deliver the money to the kidnappers in
13:04the bush, an order within the police authority came, and the reasonable suspect was set free immediately
13:10while others arrested alongside the reasonable suspect were remanded to prison, that aside, Harrison
13:16Guamnishu in an exclusive interview with TVC television station made available to the public by the broadcast media
13:24on Sunday night, indicated that the Nigeria police force had all the opportunities and chances to
13:30rescue the remaining kidnapped victims, but, the police deliberately refused to go into the bush, with
13:37the police saying that the kind of intelligence information he had provided is an archaic style of
13:42intelligence gathering, this, according to Harrison Guamnishu, forced him to show the police video
13:48evidences of how his style of intelligence has aided successful offensive operation against kidnappers,
13:55but, all his explanations went on dear ears. Even when for days, the tracking devices he added to
14:01the special money he mixed with the original money given to the kidnappers as ransom was still showing
14:07the exact location of the kidnappers and other use. Harrison Guamnishu, the founder of a registered
14:12private organisation assisting the Nigeria security operatives with credible and reliable intelligence
14:18information that have led to the killing and arrest of several kidnappers in the West Africa country,
14:24especially in the south-south geopolitical zone of Edo and Delta states, in a video statement issued via
14:30his verified social media account a few hours ago, has said that the family member and a brother of the
14:37kidnapped couple who worked with him and his team to deliver the prepared sting operational 20
14:42million nairas ransom to the kidnappers has been arrested alongside his gang members with guns,
14:48but, according to Harrison Guamnishu, immediately the Nigeria police force noticed that he could
14:54vividly recognise the suspect as a brother to the kidnapped couple. The Nigeria police force quickly
15:00released the suspect and charged other members of his gang arrested in Auchi to court. Even when the
15:05kidnapping involving the suspect's brother and wife is generating more reactions after the wife was set
15:11free by the kidnappers while the husband who is the suspect's brother is still held in captivity till
15:16date by the kidnappers since both were kidnapped in their home at Avili village in the Etsuko West
15:22local government area of Edo state in late days of November 2025. According to Harrison Guamnishu,
15:29before the ransom money was delivered to the kidnappers inside the bush, the kidnappers made a phone call to
15:35be arrested and quickly set free suspect to give him the exact location to drop the money, he was
15:41surprised to hear one of the kidnapped victims, the husband still with the kidnappers begging his
15:46brother who is currently seen as the suspect behind the kidnapping to forgive him if he has done anything
15:51wrong to him. The pleading shocked him but Harrison said he decided to act as if he never heard anything.
15:58Harrison Guamnishu added that the suspect, he was the family member that raised the alarm that the ransom money
16:04wasn't complete, that, that was the reason the kidnappers only released the wife and refused to
16:10set free the husband. Stating clearly that everyone who participated in taking the money to the kidnappers
16:16affirmed that the kidnappers never counted the money. That even if the kidnappers had counted the money,
16:22he prepared the money specially by only scattering the tracking devices on the dummy Naira notes that looked
16:28like original Naira notes in a manner that made the whole money complete. The family member who delivered the
16:34ransom to the kidnappers and some of his gangs were arrested with guns in Auchi by soldiers.
16:40The soldiers handed him over to Auchi area command, Auchi area command transferred him to anti-cultism unit
16:47SCID Benin and along the side, an order came that the boy should be released. Other people with him were
16:54charged to court and sent to prison. Same boy was with us in Auchi and knows our plans. One of the most
17:01talked about Islamic preachers in Nigeria who have had photographs with people suspected to be
17:06terrorists. Terrorizing villages and communities in the northern part of Nigeria when he visited the
17:12suspected terrorists in their camps inside forests on the ground of having peace talk with the armed
17:17groups. Sheikh Ahmad Abu Bakr Mahmood Gumi has described as a terrorist act the United States,
17:24U.S. military action ordered by President Donald Trump that attacked and killed yet to be ascertained
17:30total numbers of ISIS-affiliated Lakaroa terrorists in Sokoto State on Christmas Day. This, the Islamic
17:38cleric called on the people in the villages affected by the U.S. missile strikes on Thursday night to post
17:44on social media platforms evidences of damages caused by the U.S. military action. According to Gumi,
17:52it is in line with the teachers of Islam for terrorists to be killed, but, the killing must be
17:57done by people with the clean and holy hands, and, not by another terrorist whose hands are stained with
18:03the blood of hundreds of thousands of innocent children, women, and men just recently, stressing
18:09that, the U.S. involvement in the fight against terrorism in Nigeria will make the country becomes
18:15an enemy of its neighbors, a theater of war, because the involvement will attract the real anti-U.S.
18:21forces into the West Africa country, and in a manner that looked like mockery, Sheikh Gumi said,
18:27dropping a few bombs here and there cannot tackle the menace of terror. They need serious military on
18:32the ground, which, if we are serious, we have enough men to do that. In contrary to Gumi's assertions,
18:39the Nigeria government, through the office of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Yusuf Tugur said it was
18:45President Bola Ahmed Tanubu on Thursday that gave the U.S. the approval to carry out the strikes
18:51against the terrorists, but the government statement apparently did not go down well with
18:56Omiyele Sawari, a human rights activist and the founder of Sahara Reporter's news media, who insisted
19:02that, it is evident that the strikes were carried out without the genuine authority or informed consent
19:08of the weaklings masquerading as government under Asawar Jubola Ahmed Tanubu, and in a swift reaction
19:15to Omiyele Sawari. One of the recently nominated and confirmed ambassador-designate, Rino Omakri said,
19:22I am afraid I will have to disagree with Mr. Omiyele Sawari, and others like him, who are misinforming the
19:28Nigerian public that the recent actions against terrorists are proof that Nigeria lacks sovereignty.
19:34Such views are indicative of a lack of awareness of international relations. It is also wrong for
19:39Mr. Sawari to call our government and military weak. Sheikh Ahmed Abu Bakr Mahmood Gumi in a statement
19:46titled, The Symbolism of the U.S. Strike. He shared, while many Nigerians were asleep after the 2025
19:53Christmas celebration, the United States, U.S. warship moved close and took position in the
19:59territorial Africa waters, then launched missiles at the dead of the night on Thursday into areas
20:05predominantly dominated by the Lakorawa terrorists in the Nigeria north-western state of Sokoto,
20:12with President Donald Trump saying many of the terrorists were killed, but, the Islamic state of
20:17Iraq and Syria, ISIS in the West Africa province is yet to issue a statement over the airstrikes on the
20:23Lakorawa camps in Sokoto, the armed group that is affiliated with the Islamic state Sahil province
20:29operating in Mali, Nijay, and the Nigeria Kebi in Sokoto states whose activities are mostly observed in
20:37five local government areas of Tangasa, Gudu, Alayla, Binji, and Salame in Sokoto state, this.
20:45Some residents at Jabo village in the Tambul local government area of Sokoto state posted
20:50videos online to indicate that some components used in making the missiles fell on a farmland
20:56in the Jabo village, the videos showed a lot of the villages, mostly younger ones holding phones
21:02with touch light on, recording the scene of the burning parts of one of the missiles in the farmland,
21:08while some took a closer camera angle shot of some of the components that have manufacturing
21:13inscriptions dates and brand labels. The US Africa Command in a statement a few hours ago,
21:20said, at the direction of the President of the United States and the Secretary of War,
21:25and in coordination with Nigerian authorities, US Africa Command conducted strikes against ISIS
21:31terrorists in Nigeria on December 25, 2025, in Sokoto state. President Donald Trump while announcing
21:39the military action through his truth social media platform on Thursday night, said,
21:45tonight, at my direction as commander-in-chief, the United States launched a powerful and deadly
21:51strike against ISIS terrorist scum in northwest Nigeria, who have been targeting and viciously
21:57killing, primarily, innocent Christians, at levels not seen for many years, and even centuries.
22:04I have previously warned these terrorists that if they did not stop the slaughtering of Christians,
22:09there would be hell to pay, and tonight, there was. The Department of War executed numerous
22:15perfect strikes, as only the United States is capable of doing. Under my leadership, our country
22:22will not allow radical Islamic terrorism to prosper. May God bless our military, and Merry Christmas to
22:29all, including the dead terrorists, of which there will be many more if their slaughter of Christians
22:34continues. Peter Hegseth, the US Secretary of War, reiterated the US in an effort to challenge and
22:41prove wrong the statement of Harrison Guamnishu, a well-known civilian volunteer assisting Nigeria
22:47security operatives with intelligence information that has led to the arrest and killing of suspected
22:52kidnappers in gun battle, that, he, Harrison Guamnishu was never arrested or charged to court by the
22:59Nigeria police force over the 5.4 million nairas he allegedly removed from the 20 million nairas
23:07ransom he was contracted to hand over to the kidnappers for the release and rescue of the
23:12married couple kidnapped in Avili community in the Etsuko West local government area of Edo State in late
23:19November 2025, a leading Nigeria social media influencer and human rights activist, Martin Svincent Ots aka
23:28Varidakman on Tuesday night took to his social media pages and presented an apparent questionable court
23:35document, probably with malicious intent to manipulate and mislead unsuspecting members of the public in
23:41order to malign the character of Harrison Guamnishu, this, in the court document presented by Varidakman,
23:47the alleged charge serial numbers were covered with a colored ink, no date of court sitting was
23:52written on the court document, the document indicated that the alleged three count charges
23:57were drafted and signed on the 18th of December 2025, a day before Harrison Guamnishu was asked to go home
24:04from the police custody on December 19th 2025 while awaiting the advice of the Department of Public
24:12Prosecutor, DPP on the matter, and the apparent fraudulent court document did not show the officer
24:18or the person responsible for the court count charges, and Varidakman apparently in a manipulative
24:24manner did not show the full signature and any name of the officer who authored the alleged court charges.
24:30Varidakman claimed in the video that the prosecutor wanted Harrison Guamnishu jailed for six months but
24:36the judge he identified as Justice Etinoza Adekombi allegedly on her personal consideration,
24:42because of the Christmas and New Year season and public intervention decided to grant Harrison
24:47Guamnishu bail. Harrison Guamnishu says he was never arrested by the police or charged to court as
24:53speculated in the public spaces over the 5.4 million nairas he allegedly removed out of the 20 million
25:00Naira's ransom he was given to hand over to kidnappers and as well apparently used the money
25:05as a bait to stage sting operation for the release and rescue of the husband and wife simply identified
25:11as Mr. and Mrs. Ibrahim kidnapped in Avili community in the Etsuko West local government area of Edo state,
25:18which generated public reactions after the kidnappers set free the wife and kept the husband in captivity on
25:25the ground that the money given to them was not complete, and some persons who have access
25:30to them. Harrison Guamnishu says he was never arrested by the police or charged to court as
25:34speculated in the public spaces over the 5.4 million nairas he allegedly removed out of the 20
25:40million naira's ransom he was given to hand over to kidnappers and as well apparently used the money
25:46as a bait to stage sting operation for the release and rescue of the husband and wife simply identified
25:52as Mr. and Mrs. Ibrahim kidnapped in Avili community in the Etsuko West local government area of Edo state,
25:59which generated public reactions after the kidnappers set free the wife and kept the
26:04husband in captivity on the ground that the money given to them was not complete, and some persons
26:09who have access to the apparent sensitive security information went public to create an impression as
26:15if Harrison Guamnishu stole part of the ransom money, even when Harrison Guamnishu explained to them
26:22that it is part of his operational procedures to remove some cash from the ransom money. His explanation
26:28apparently went on deaf ears, and people who may be best described as mischief makers took advantage
26:33of the issue to call Harrison Guamnishu names and reopen his alleged past deeds in a prejudiced manner
26:40to cast aspersions on him even when they knew that Harrison Guamnishu has a long history with video
26:46evidences of assisting security operatives to rescue kidnapped victims and in some cases,
26:52the total money paid as ransom are recovered and returned to the victims' families and the sting
