00:00We'll see you next time.
29:54And insight for you there as well.
29:55Absolutely.
29:58Yes.
29:59Thank you guys.
30:00And I'm definitely gonna I'll be reaching out to because I have some more questions for
30:03you.
30:04And I hope you remain in good health.
30:06And please, please, please continue doing this amazing work.
30:11And it's thank you, truly.
30:14No, thank you.
30:15Stay safe.
30:16Be safe.
30:17Yes.
30:18The idea was we would take the wealth that we had created in our Sundial Shea Moisture business
30:37and we would invest that wealth directly back into black women entrepreneurs within our communities.
30:54Today, we've invested in over 50 black women-owned businesses.
30:59I'm excited and proud to announce that for our seventh one year, we now have another 10 new investments.
31:10And so I'd now like to announce our 10 winners.
31:20Congratulations.
31:21And we're so impressed with your business.
31:24We're so moved by the intentionality and, you know, the pillar in our communities has been our churches.
31:33And to have somebody thinking about how we can make them stronger financially is very important.
31:38So we're going to invest another $5,000.
31:47So, congratulations.
31:49Congratulations.
31:50Congratulations.
31:51Really?
31:52You're so impressed.
31:54actor how you get it?
31:55How you do it is.
31:56We're..
32:18It was so much fun making a popsicle recipe, designing a recipe card, and being able to
32:47try them ourselves.
32:48I'm working on a book called Be Fearless.
32:51It's going to give some advice that I've learned over 10 years of being an entrepreneur.
32:57With our collaborator, you can share docs so we can work together and make sure everything's
33:02up to date.
33:03I hope the book is going to make a measurable impact on Saving the Bees, but also encourage
33:07social entrepreneurship at the same time.
33:09Legacy is something I never thought about having.
33:17And then once you get it, it's harder to keep it, I believe, than it is to get it.
33:24Wow.
33:24So, oh, I do have a word, but man, I'm thinking about it.
33:31Protection.
33:31Because you have to protect your legacy once you create one.
33:35How are you protecting your legacy now?
33:37A lot of different ways.
33:39It's not just like, you know, I mean really protect it.
33:41You know, the people that work for you, the people that you hire, the people that speak
33:45for you, the people that just represent you, after you get to a certain point, you have
33:52to let them know that they're representing your legacy, not just you.
33:57You know, so they can't go out here and do, you know, whatever they want that we was probably
34:01doing prior because now people look at us a certain way and they want us to, you know,
34:07they hold us accountable to certain things.
34:09And now you as a person that works for me or a person that's involved with me, you have
34:15to carry yourself as such or you're not representing my legacy.
34:22We as women pour so much out to everyone else.
34:26It is like absolutely essential that we make time for ourselves.
34:30I've also learned to calendar the things that matter.
34:34So I'm really setting more boundaries so that I have more peace because for me that allows
34:38tranquility in the household.
35:08society tries to tear us apart and pits us against each other.
35:22But when we work together, we do some pretty amazing things.
35:29It's so empowering to see other black women, um, really chart their own territories.
35:34And a lot of times people will walk it or they'll talk the talk, but Shane Moisture is actually
35:40walking that talk.
35:41I am.
35:42I am.
35:42Phenomenal.
35:43Phenomenal.
35:44I am.
35:45I am.
35:45Dope.
35:46Dope.
35:47And the reality is that they look just like us and they're investing in us.
35:52Many of you have lost loved ones or people in your community to COVID-19.
36:04We salute and support all of the first responders, healthcare professionals, and essential workers.
36:09Black people especially have been hit really hard in this time.
36:14Hopefully we can provide you with some information that can help us get through this troubled time
36:18and lead us on to better horizons.
36:21Outside of health, another major way this virus has affected us is our wallet.
36:25That's right.
36:26In our pockets.
36:27With the global economy coming to a screeching heart, we're now living in unprecedented
36:30times and people are hurting.
36:32Businesses are hurting.
36:33People have lost their jobs and small businesses are hurting.
36:36Now, as you all may know, the government enacted a $3 trillion stimulus plan to help out
36:42the economy.
36:43And of this $3 trillion, $600 billion of it is for small and medium businesses.
36:49African Americans are the fastest growing entrepreneurs.
36:53The question is, how do you access those funds?
36:56Well, we are here to help you with that.
36:58If you're a black business owner and you have fewer than 500 employees.
37:02I don't care if you're in a barber shop, a nail salon, a dentist's office, a car wash,
37:07a juice bar.
37:08If you own a business like that, this money is earmarked for you.
37:12The time to act has never been more important.
37:14And the clock is ticking.
37:15Because once that money is swept up, it's gone and it's never coming back.
37:20So what do you do?
37:21Well, first off, it's important to know that when you do apply for the stimulus loan, there
37:25is no collateral or personal guarantees necessary.
37:29The loan gets wiped.
37:30You heard him right.
37:31The loan gets wiped out, but only if you keep all your workers employed.
37:36You also need to know you can only use that money to keep your lights on, pay your employees,
37:41etc.
37:42So keep the paperwork, please.
37:43Keep that paperwork.
37:44It's important.
37:45And that paperwork better said before February 15th, 2020.
37:50Because y'all know.
37:52Now, here's the good part.
37:53We have the plug to get your application completed at no cost to you.

38:23In this crisis, we've already lost too much.
38:26We can't afford losing your business too.
38:28Our communities need you now more than ever.
38:31This is not a slam dunk.
38:33This pandemic has really affected all of us.
38:35But there's a three-pointer at the buzzer.
38:37You can make this shot, but you have to do it together.
38:40And we're here to help.
38:41We're here to help.
38:42We're here to help.
38:43We're here to help.
38:45PizzLo giving, help.
38:47We're here to help.
38:48We're here to help.
38:49We're here to help.
38:50You can imagine some of the things
38:52that we are testing in.
38:54However, we have to help.
38:55We're here to help for you to buildmarios.
38:56Even if you put our builder together in a Wennita team name.
38:59We're there to help guests.
39:30So the New Voices Fund was created to ensure economic opportunities and inclusion for women of color.
39:50We have so many women out in the world building businesses trying to create a better life for themselves and for their children and their families.
40:00And their communities with very little support.
40:05Of every dollar that's invested in entrepreneurs, black women receive something like .003 cents.
40:13It starts to show with some scale what can happen when you give these women the opportunities that they deserve.
40:23And so that's the mission of the New Voices Fund.
40:27That's why I was founded.
40:29We as women pour so much out to everyone else.
40:40It is like absolutely essential that we make time for ourselves.
40:44I've also learned to calendar the things that matter.
40:48So I'm really setting more boundaries so that I have more peace.
40:51Because for me that allows tranquility in the household.
40:54Right.
40:54For more information, I guess it makes for example having a book.
40:55I really love easier.
40:58I just love to tag right away.
40:59And so that makes sense.
41:03I love you.
41:04So I love you.
41:04I love you.
41:06So I love you.
41:07So I love you.
41:10Stay through that way.
41:11I love you.
41:13I love you.
41:15So I love you.
41:16You see.
41:18So
