00:00When I look at this situation, I can't help but think Sirianni didn't handle this the right way.
00:05What's your take on the way Sirianni handled this whole situation?
00:10I'm aligned with you.
00:12So you can say both that change needed to be made.
00:17I don't think anybody that watched that offense thought, well, they should just sit on their hands.
00:22You know, like, of course, like, yeah, I mean, Sirianni is the head coach.
00:26He has an offensive background.
00:28He saw that the offense was flailing, and he stepped in.
00:33And I think that you can understand and you can respect that.
00:37That doesn't mean that it had to have this outcome.
00:41Because, like, if I step back and look at it, and it's like, okay, the offense isn't working.
00:46You know, what do we know?
00:48And if we're going coach by coach, it's like, all right, which coach, you know, do I have the most faith in that he knows what he's doing
00:55and needs to be empowered in this situation to help get things right?
00:59The first person I go to is Jeff Stout.
01:02So what ended up happening with him feeling marginalized is the exact opposite of what you needed in that moment.
01:10And, you know, Stout has been through how many different coaching changes?
01:13I mean, and how many different versions of offense?
01:17You know, he started here in 2013 with Chip Kelly, and he was with Doug Peterson, and now Nick Sirianni.
01:23We know all the offensive coordinators that have come and gone from there.
01:26This doesn't exactly sound like somebody who is not open to adjustment.
01:30But the way that it played out had him feeling a certain kind of way where now the Eagles are moving forward, you know,
01:38without one of the best coaches that has ever coached in this city.
01:42And so, okay, so now they're going into a new realm, and I understand that.
01:46It's going to be a different offense that maybe is not his M.O.
01:50But you're bringing in a new run game coordinator, and you look at his background, and it's like, well, he's going to be learning on the job, too,
01:57even if he does have more familiarity with this system.
02:01So, you know, are you in a better position now than you were before Jeff Stoutman left?
02:08And I think the answer to that is no.
02:10And if part of the reason why he left is because the way he felt or was managed, then that goes up to Nick Sirianni.
