00:26Was Lane Johnson going to retire? Then we got some reports last week, two weeks ago, Landon Dickerson was considering
00:32retiring.
00:33Well, within about an hour of each other, Jeff McClain reports Lane Johnson's coming back.
00:39And then an hour later, Derek Gunn reports Landon Dickerson's coming back.
00:45Huge news for the Philadelphia Eagles.
00:48But as big of news as it is, Ricky, as excited as I am that both Lane and Landon are
00:54coming back,
00:56I would assume Howie Roseman is smart enough to understand this, you still have to have backup plans in place.
01:03Because if you go back to last season, they didn't get Fred Johnson until training camp.
01:08And thank God they did. They made the trade with the Jaguars, got Fred Johnson in here.
01:12If you didn't have Fred Johnson, where the hell would you have been last year when Lane went down?
01:17And I don't think you can rely on Lane Johnson playing 17 games in the playoffs next year.
01:22You better have a backup plan that's better and nothing against Fred Johnson.
01:27But that is a little bit better than just Fred Johnson in training camp making that trade.
01:32Well, you're going to need more than one.
01:34I mean, there's absolutely no doubt about that.
01:36What a big need is going to be depth on the offensive line.
01:39If somebody happens to go down there, how deep are you going to be?
01:43I mean, you think about it last year, you think about Dickerson, you think about Lane Johnson.
01:47Even Cam Juergens was hurt at times last year.
01:49He had the back problem, knee problems.
01:52And I mean, they're not getting any younger.
01:55I think that's the one thing that Howie has to kind of develop and look at.
02:00Is that, okay, they're not getting any younger, what's my next move?
02:03And it may be in the draft.
02:05It may be time in the draft right now to go after some linemen.
