00:00The Department of Economy Planning and Development, or DEPDEV, is currently focusing on stabilizing non-food inflation, particularly in the energy sector.
00:08This comes after a slowdown in food inflation in January.
00:12While the state of inflation in the food sector is positive, economic planning under Secretary Rosemarie Edelion emphasized the need to also address non-food inflation, such as electricity costs, as these are essential for Filipinos.
00:25One of the Department of Energy's priorities is the streamlining and intensified implementation of the net metering program.
00:33Meanwhile, the Energy Regulatory Commission, or ERC, has implemented a lifeline consumption threshold ranging from zero to 50 kilowatt hours.
