00:00In other news, the Philippine National Police, or PNP, has received a major boost to its modernization efforts.

00:06This following the acquisition of over 506 million pesos worth of new mobility and protective equipment.

00:13The new equipment aims to enhance operational readiness and protection capabilities

00:18intended for immediate distribution to police units nationwide.

00:23The assets were presented during a blessing ceremony at Camp Krami today.

00:27PNP Chief General Jose Melencio Nartazis Jr. said the equipment will be immediately utilized,

00:34especially during the upcoming peak travel season,

00:37to enhance travel or police units' ability to prevent focused crimes in their respective areas.
