00:00Y'all out here telling friends about chicken sandwiches.
00:03What about me?
00:11Our beauty salons, our nail salons,
00:13whatever you want to call them,
00:14they always play the safe spaces for us.
00:16And I always admired how you could walk into a beauty salon,
00:21a nail salon, a barber shop, go in, feeling one way,
00:24and come out not looking like anything that you're going through.
00:27So that was my whole thing with wash and set.
00:29I wanted to speak to that. I wanted to have fun.
00:31You may be walking in there with a heavy head, a heavy load,
00:34but one thing we do know for sure is that we walk out confident,
00:37we walk out bold, we walk out free, we walk out happy.
00:44You know where you are when you smell acrylic.
00:46And when you smell acrylic, you in my hood.
00:48Acrylic is just all about celebrating our blackness.
00:52I wanted to tell these beautiful black stories of love.
00:56I wanted to talk about our colleges.
00:58I wanted to talk about our streets.
01:00Wash and set!
01:01And acrylic has gotten me here.
01:03Shape Up, which is the third installment to the beauty series.
01:06It will be the third and final installment.
01:08It's coming soon and we going to have fun.
01:11I make music for everyone. It's never excluding anyone.
01:17And I just love the diversity of my supporters and how much they love hearing about our story.
01:23I'm glad that people really gravitated to Washington and acrylic.
01:38I just hope that you guys continue to support it and tell a friend.
01:42You know, just tell a friend.
01:44I mean, y'all out here telling friends about chicken sandwiches.
01:47What about us?
01:50What about me?
01:52When it is my time, you know, I'm going to be totally happy about it.
01:57You know what I mean?
01:58I'm okay with going through my process.
02:00And wherever I'm supposed to be, I'm supposed to be.
