00:16I've just had a walk around this morning of the gallery and to be like in the same vicinity as those artworks is crazy.

00:26Themes vary from family identity to broader society.
00:30I was born in Japan but I was raised here pretty much so it's just I've always kind of felt in between places so hence the idea of two paintings.
00:39This year's Art Express features the amazing work of 51 student artists demonstrating creative flair, colour and skill across various forms of art.
00:49So there's no preconceived theme or approach it's always a response to what the students have experienced.
00:56It gives the exhibition that energy and that variety.

01:03When you put in that much time and that much effort into a project and seeing it like come alive I guess in a gallery and having other people come and look at it, it was very special to me.
