00:00Hey, Natalie Curling World. It's me, Evelyn. Welcome to my crib, which is
00:03definitely not an Airbnb that we got just for video purposes. A bunch of the
00:08editors and I are going to be sharing with you our favorite things, our packing
00:12tips, what we're bringing with us on our trip to New York next week because we
00:17are headed there for Texture on the Runway. We're going to be sharing with
00:20you our tips, our tricks, our favorite products that we like to take with us
00:24when we travel. Hey guys, we're getting ready to go to Texture on the Runway.
00:28It's our annual hair and fashion show that we host in New York City and we've
00:32been working with six of our Runway brands. We have Shea Moisture, Cantu,
00:36Cream of Nature, Carol's Daughter, Miel Organics, and Curl Formers. And I'm packing
00:42up the ones that I want to use when I'm out in New York City. When I'm traveling,
00:45I try not to pack too much. I like to take either travel-sized products or put
00:49them in little travel-sized containers. So I start off with labeling them. I don't
00:56want to get confused just in case. So I'm taking the Carol's Daughter Black
01:00Vanilla Sulfate-Free Shampoo and I just put a little bit in here. I won't be using
01:05it all, so I just try and put a small amount. So I do the same with my
01:10conditioner. I'm going to be taking the Black Vanilla Hydrating Conditioner. So
01:14that's my shampoo and my conditioner and I do the same with my leave-in. But
01:20thankfully I found a travel size from Carol's Daughter. It is the Hair Milk
01:27Nourishing Conditioner Original Leave-In Moisturizer. And for my foam, I'm going to
01:34be taking the Carol's Daughter Hair Milk Nourishing Conditioning Styling
01:37Foam just as is. So this will go in my suitcase. But this will be the only product I'm
01:43taking in my suitcase. So I just eliminated a lot of space. So I take all of these
01:48guys, put them in my leftover Glossier bag, and just zip it up, and that's it.
01:55When I travel, I've always got to have my face stuff with me to just keep all of
02:00this intact. First thing I like to make sure I pack is my, it's either Conjac or
02:05Cognac. I get them from Korea. So it's softly gonna scrub your face like a sponge.
02:10Foxy Bombs. This is her orange kaolin clay soap. It's got citrus oils in it so you
02:16can't use it every day. But on the days that you do use it, it's just gonna burn
02:20all the impurities away with that citric acid. This is the Strawberry Food Therapy
02:26Skin Food Mask. It's super scrubby. You can see the grit on it. You can't smell how it
02:33smells like jam, but it does. And it makes you feel like you're at home wherever you
02:37are just. Second to last, I have my serums. They're all Eva Hansen and you're supposed
02:46to use them in three steps. This is the Vitamin C. This is the Hyaluronic Acid.
02:51Last step is gonna be the Retinol Serum. And then the very last thing is gonna be my sun protection.
02:58So this is my broad-spectrum SPF 15. The Melanin does protect me, but you still have
03:04to get some sun protection on there. So everything I got is not TSA approved. I don't
03:12really care about checking my bags. They can rifle through all my stuff. I'm not
03:17really concerned. I don't have anything valuable in there. As long as it all goes
03:22in the Ziploc bag, it's fine. You gotta have the skin to win.
03:25So first I'll be sharing my Everyday Makeup Essentials and then also my Glam Essentials
03:30by Ardell. They are our makeup sponsor for Texture on the Runway. And I'll be sharing
03:34about their lashes, their red lip, and mascara that I'll be using. My Everyday Essentials
03:39are foundation, concealer, brow powder, and bronzer. So to add a little glam to my look, it
03:47is important that I find the perfect red lip. So Ardell has sent me a few red lipsticks
03:54that I'll be trying. So let's see which one looks best. And I really like Intense Lust.
04:01It's really, really cute. It's really sassy and fierce. And this is so easy to apply if you
04:09don't need a liner because the stick helps you apply a little bit easier. Now I'm going to put
04:16on my lashes from Ardell. So my first tip for applying lashes is be sure that you have some
04:23tweezers on hand and ready to go because that is the best way to apply them. Since lash glue
04:30dries pretty fast, it's important to take your lashes off of the plastic and have them ready
04:37to go. So we'll start with my right eye. And we will apply the lash glue on this strip. And
04:44be sure you don't apply too much because Lord knows you do not need glue everywhere. So
04:51you are going to apply your falsies close to your natural lash line. And be sure that you
04:58hold them there for at least 10 seconds before you start trying to move them around. Believe
05:02me, it won't work out good if you move it too early. I use the end of the tweezers to press
05:08it down. So now that my lashes are applied, I like to add a little bit of liner just to
05:15hide that black strip and a little glue. Now I'll add my mascara by Ardell. And what that
05:23does, it helps to blend in your real lashes and your falsies. Here's my final glam look.
05:29I've added my lashes and lipstick by Ardell. Okay, so going on a plane to New York to touch
05:36your runway. So the tips I'm going to be giving you in this video are like for body care, you
05:44know, not like your skin care, you know, so that you glow or whatever. It's so the rest
05:48of your body glows, right? So tip number one, do not rely on no raggedy hotel wash cloth,
05:56Airbnb wash cloth, you don't know where it's been. Bring these exfoliator gloves. You can
06:02get them at Target, otherwise known as Target, to peasants. But this is by Ecotools. And you
06:09just put them on, you rub the soap on, and you rub your body with it. You cleanse your body
06:14way better than a regular washcloth. And you get some exfoliation. So I do bring lotion
06:21sometimes. So right now I have the Shea Moisture lotion in my little travel size thing. But
06:28I found that oil actually goes a lot longer way than lotion does. So what I do is I take
06:35my oil, you can see I finished it all. This is the Bolden 100% Natural Shea Oil. It's a
06:41sweet vanilla scent. And I put it in an old container. This used to be like a vitamin C serum. And I just
06:48put the oil in here. And what you do is when you get out of the shower and you're a little
06:53bit wet still, you just put like a drop. And then you rub it in. And you see how that one
07:03drop is like spreading to my whole arm? Yes! So it goes a lot further than a bunch of lotions.
07:11So this next tip is a life hack. You take an illuminating stick. This is the NYX Bright Idea
07:18illuminating stick. And this is for the night time, right? So texture on the runway. It's
07:23at night. It's a hair and fashion show. Everybody's going to be dressed to the nines. So what you
07:28do is you take this, and as you can see it's like it has like a, I'm going to swatch it like
07:34a beauty guru. It has like some sparkle to it. So what you do is you add it to like your collarbone,
07:40you know, the high points of your face. You add it to your nose right here. Add it to your
07:47shoulders. And you're just going to be like ultraviolet. You are going to be glistening
07:52so hard and it'll be great. When I travel, my top priority is to feel well rested so that
08:00when we're out there for texture on the runway, we're going to be working all day and all night.
08:05When I get back to my hotel room, I want to be able to sleep really restfully.
08:09What I like to bring when I travel is this pillow spray that has lavender. It's called
08:17Lavender Mist. It's just the most sleeping thing in the entire world. I can spray it on
08:25myself or on my pillow. I also have an eye pillow that has lavender and like oatmeal in it and it's so soothing.
08:37You can either put it into a fridge and let it cool down or you can put it in a microwave and let it warm up.
08:43Either way, when I'm going to bed, if I can't sleep, I like to just put this over my eyes and it kind of like...
08:51It's very calming to have a little bit of weight on your face. Oh, that sounds weird.
08:57And then the last thing that I bring with me is these Law of Attraction cards.
09:02So this is something that's part of my nighttime routine when I'm at home.
09:07And sometimes bringing things from your home routine when you travel helps kind of keep you a little bit grounded.
09:15I use them as a writing prompt and I'll usually pull one of those out, think about it for a little bit,
09:21and then just start writing. These are the things that I like to use.
09:25A lot of these things have helped me in those everyone's sleeping except for me kinds of moments.
09:32And that's my self-care practice.
09:35So those are our tips. I hope they were really helpful to you.
