01:01I'm super excited to be here.
01:03I just flew in and got here this morning and I could not miss this.
01:08I think it's an amazing event where all women can come together and feel beautiful as one
01:12and I'm so excited to be part of this.
01:14Where have you been, Evelyn?
01:16You know, I've been living my best stay-at-home mom with no kids life.
01:22I've been really in the creative space, you know, just working on creative endeavors like
01:29writing, filmmaking, all that stuff.
01:32Nolita, please tell the world who you are.
01:35Besides a marketing maven, I am a digital marketing manager for ORS, AKA Namaste, AKA Curls Unleashed,
01:44AKA I'm out here getting it.
01:46What is your absolute favorite thing about New York City?
01:49I think the diversity, all the different types of people, all different types of languages
01:55being spoken, that's my favorite thing about New York.
01:58And I want to know what Texture on the Runway means to you.
02:02Texture on the Runway means so much.
02:05Honestly, the first Texture on the Runway that I ever modeled myself was my first time
02:10ever experiencing natural hair on the runway.
02:14I feel like Texture on the Runway is so much more special during Fashion Week because
02:19usually we're not a part of it.
02:21One of the things that I really admire about this show is the way that it brings women
02:25together.
02:26Especially this year, it's honoring black women and I think that's just amazing, you know,
02:30because...
02:31The brands really go all out to really take it to a very, very high level.
02:36So I'm really excited for what we're going to see tonight.
02:38Not only is the fashion out of this world and just amazing, but the hair and all of the
02:43awesome futuristic styles that we're going to see tonight is just amazing and I think
02:48it's so good for women like me and you to actually see this being represented and displayed
02:53on such a huge platform.
02:55I think that we need more events like this where women can come together as one and feel
02:59that they're beautiful just the way that they are.
03:01It doesn't matter the texture of your hair, whether it's straight, whether it's curly,
03:04whether it's kinky.
03:05You know, it's just part of who we are.
03:07This event is so dope.
03:09I mean, it's an event that any brand wants to align themselves with because you come into
03:14contact with so many beautiful young ladies, so many different creatives.
03:18And it's an opportunity for our brands that we love to connect with us, to show us their
03:23true talent, their creativity, to merge fashion with hair.
03:28And I don't think there's any other show that does that.
03:31And I love the fact that there's so many beautiful women that are embracing their natural curls,
03:35their textures, or even if they're adding pieces or extensions, weaves, whatever, but they're
03:40still repping.
03:41And I think it's a beautiful thing.
03:43How do you get your hair so amazing?
03:45Taking care of it and washing it weekly, deep conditioners, and just like showing it
03:49some love and care, you know, patience.
03:52Oh, yeah.
03:53And yeah.
03:54What don't people know about Curls Unleashed?
03:58That it's greatness in a bottle.
04:00And I'm not just saying that because I work there, but it really does work.
04:03Like, I really do believe in the product because before anything, I want to keep the hair
04:07on my head.
04:08Yeah.
04:09That's important.
04:10Agreed.
04:11Who are you most looking forward to seeing?
04:13I know that you're like, you're the star, you're the co-host.
04:16I know, no.
04:17You know what?
04:18It's really hard to say because like I said, I'm just happy to be here.
04:20And I love supporting women.
04:22And I love this event.
04:23So I'm happy just to see everyone.
04:25There's no one in specific.
04:26I'm just happy to be here, to be honest.
04:28I'm looking forward to seeing which brands will be imaginative and kind of, I don't know.
04:37I want to see who's going to be like inventive and innovative and really bring the creativity.
