00:00Police are tracking down a white MPV scene in a video circulated on social media showing the
00:07vehicle flashing blue lights while weaving through traffic on the Maju Expressway yesterday evening.
00:12Kuala Lumpur Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department Chief Zamzuri Issa urged members of
00:18the public with information on the incident to come forward and assist in the investigation.
00:23Zamzuri said no reports were received on the incident and that the authorities could
00:30not identify the vehicle's registration number through the video. He said the action depicted
00:36in the video was believed to constitute an offense under the Motor Vehicle's Construction and Use
00:40Rules , which prohibits the installation of flashing warning lights on vehicles other than
00:46authorized emergency vehicles. He said the action could also be an offense under Section 170
00:52of the Penal Code, which deals with the impersonation of a public officer.
