00:00The black woman in my life that's been the transformative energy in my life is
00:04is definitely my mom. My grandma Cindy Mahomes. My grandmother Flora Evans. A
00:08black woman in my life who has just meant so much to my journey through
00:12Chief's Cheer is my grandma. She told me to never back down. She will always tell
00:18me if you want to be the best you got to put the most work in. My grandma grew up
00:22in the segregated South. She fought for equality. There's so many things that I
00:26wouldn't have today if it weren't for people like her. My mom really shaped me
00:31just watching how she raised me. My mom never let us know that it was such a
00:35struggle and it wasn't until I was an adult that I knew that it was hard. She
00:39passed away a couple years ago but my entire life she was in a wheelchair but
00:43that didn't stop her from being the fiercest most competitive loyal person
00:46that I've ever been around. I don't think there's enough flowers that I can give my
00:50mama. There aren't words to express how much I appreciate her and how much she
00:55means to me. I'll talk to my mom, right? That's crazy. She gonna see this?
