00:00well the time has come I will be defeated no longer I cast duplicate on curse of the express
00:16train and boys the fun is just beginning hello and welcome to the finale of our six-day game
00:27of hide-and-seek across the UK right now we're in the middle of the final round Ben's the hider and
00:32this is his last chance to beat Adam's 12 and a half hour run as far as Adam and I know the game's
00:38about to end we've got Ben's location confidently pinned in Dumfries and we're about to arrive with
00:42more than six hours to find him that should be a breeze if it was actually going to happen what
00:47we don't yet realize is that we're not going to be able to get off of our train Ben just played
00:51curse of the express route forcing us to stay on our train for at least another 30 minutes that's
00:56going to send us all the way back to England where we'll have to wait for a train back up to Dumfries
01:00only to later learn that he duplicated this curse and we'll be able to play it again whether this
01:05plan can buy Ben enough time to put him in first is still up in the air so without further ado back to
01:10the show
01:11Sam you've gotten a text oh no we've gotten multiple texts
01:18oh no tough well at least we know we're right how bad is this gonna be let's see I this is not a
01:30high frequency no situation where can we even get off can we get off in Carlisle well we could
01:38definitely get off in Carlisle because it ends in Carlisle it's 37 minutes to Carlisle how long
01:43until we can turn around it might be an hour basically get to Carlisle 1140 oh it's gonna cost
01:51us two hours that's tough that's tough oh dear okay that's a thing yeah we really gotta hope like he
02:01didn't have a duplicate or something if he adds a duplicate then we are in the normal struggle yeah
02:07that could actually legitimately threat yeah you're right oh okay well settle in
02:18okay well well Adam and Sam were got the consequences of the of that uh that their curse I am gonna get
02:31some lunch Sam told me about this place marks and Spencer which seems to be like a department store
02:37but he said they have really good food um it kind of just looks like a cap so I don't really know what
02:46he's talking about oh no no there's a cafe okay let's see what they got I got my department store uh breakfast sandwich
02:57it does actually you know it looks pretty legit for a place that seems to just sell jackets
03:07yeah okay marks and Spencer well it looks like Sam and Adam are nearly back to Carlisle I think they
03:22might be able to get up one stop earlier but it won't matter even if they do um because the next train
03:29up back to me is not for a hot minute so enjoy sitting around boys enjoy sitting around
03:38well we've made it to Carlisle tell you what could have gotten to Carlisle a lot faster than this if
03:51we had just taken the express here yeah welcome back to England by the way we didn't think I was
03:58gonna be back here look it's gonna be fine probably maybe potentially yeah the margin for error has gone
04:08the margin for error has significantly decreased if nothing else goes wrong it'll be fine but how often
04:16does nothing else go wrong what do you think the odds are that he had a duplicate uh the odds are
04:22there's two in a deck of a hundred so one in 50 cards is the duplicate and he's pulled 20 cards I mean
04:31it's it's very possible back to get another two hours if he has a duplicate then things are really
04:44quite uncertain yep all right well let's see if we can get something to eat I guess at least four
04:56different train spotters over there look Sam it's seemingly a notable train the northern bell does that
05:04mean anything to you no not for public use it says okay it smells a certain way oh it looks like a
05:11tourist train everyone's dressed uh very nice maybe oh it's cool in there I don't think it's on the
05:16rail pass look at that do you think if we ask really nicely they'll take us to bend though uh maybe oh
05:23wow people are really dressed up some of our audience members are gonna be thrilled by seeing these trains
05:28yeah this is awesome for some of them like one two three oh yeah we can get both of them in one shot
05:35there it goes oh now it's a normal one Sam I figured out what's going on with all this train spotting
05:48there's all these different luxury trains that are coming through here because they learned that it's the
05:55snacks today today we'll be trying this scotch beef pie yep all right all right
06:16this is like if you took a big hamburger patty and then you put it inside a croissant

07:20would have who would have anticipated that saying we've gotten a text i'm feeling an extraordinary
07:26amount of fear why did we get a text oh no oh no it's exactly what we feared 30 minutes okay let's figure
07:35out what the turnaround time is 11 15 so we can get off in sandwich bar or whatever that is literally
07:42worst case scenario so we'll be able to get back to dumfries at 302 that really puts the pressure on
07:52the end game 302 will be 5 8 that'll be 10 hours in whoa no i want the audience to know why this happened
08:03it's because on the train earlier adam was like sam the restaurants in edfra are really booked up you
08:12should make a reservation for 7 pm because we'll definitely be back by then so i made a reservation
08:19for 7 pm i'm gonna lose 60 pounds of the deposit adam you're also gonna maybe lose jet lag but i'm gonna lose
08:2760 pounds on the deposit oh no all right uh with sam and adam about to careen their way into the
08:36middle of nowhere in scotland it is time for me to start looking for a hiding spot because if i'm right
08:43about the the the timetables and everything once they get here i'm still going to need to ring a couple
08:49hours out of them so this end game is going to be crucial it is going to decide the whole season
08:55um and to that end i have to come up with a good strategy um my my idea is that because i have
09:02the fog the fog in my hand i have the the curse of the impenetrable fog in my hand it would probably
09:08be best for me to go somewhere that is as many turns as possible away from the station because that
09:14way that's the most possible opportunities for them to get sent the wrong way there was a spot
09:18uh that i saw on the map that i liked so we're gonna go check that out um and we're gonna get
09:24out of here before their train comes because if they saw me on the platform i will be done for
09:37so yeah that's we'll get in at 10 hours now here's the thing he's had to discard 40 minutes
09:42of time bonus in order to play this so we have to assume that he doesn't have high time
09:47bonus right like yes because you think of the hand size his hands he would have to have
09:53to discard this twice plus the duplicate plus this so minimum four cards for that i think we
09:58gotta hope for like a quick end game or like an end game where he doesn't get that much time
10:04bonus dumfries yeah we're at dumfries awesome again can't wait to check out the station it won the
10:10competition for best station in 1987 and and 1986 wow back to back years i can't wait to experience it

11:18completely nondescript we do have a little while before they get here though so i'm going to keep
11:28poking around see what i can see and uh i don't like anything better

11:45how to pronounce it i don't know what they got going on over there but i hope that they
11:50they give us a little taste let us let us know what you think of sankohar

12:04welcome to not dumfries uh i wish i wasn't in not dumfries
12:10oh sam how could this have happened to someone like me who's so nice well it looks like a nice
12:20town yeah yeah yeah how do you think you pronounce this sam sin cure okay sam i think that we need
12:29to develop a an airtight end game strategy end game strat so i'll save for right now matching and
12:38measuring or draw three pick one so i'd prefer to stick to radars yeah and potentially thermometers
12:44and then photos you can hit a half mile right on the edge as we go in yeah and that'll save us a lot
12:49of time and then we can at least start just foot searching in whatever half he's in while we wait for
12:56a first photo the streets in this town are not very gritty yeah so i do wonder if we could
13:02get it just honestly i kind of think we might be able to get it just with street trace we're gonna
13:09get there with 10 hours he would need to get two and a half hours more than that right yeah so what
13:15i'm saying is like while i think on average asking more questions will reduce the time like our risk
13:22i would argue goes up the more questions that we ask i mean chances we get my spicy take
13:27is that we could get him within two and a half hours with just street shape but we can't assume
13:34two and a half i think we need to find him in one to one sure but like i i'm not saying necessarily
13:39we do that but i feel like we could with street shape trace and especially with a with a with a
13:46with a chop in half maybe when we get there we can see if there's a good vantage point like because
13:51if we were doing this and we had tallest thing like we can see a lot yeah of the options well
13:56i think regardless it's a much bigger place i think regardless we know our order of operations
14:00we want to start with the half mile thermometer then i think we want street trees and then we
14:07narrow down and maybe ask the tallest thing so no okay all right that's plan i think that's the plan
14:15let's do it not after the next hour hour of waiting yeah for the tree but let's do it step one wait
14:25you want to do a little walk around yeah sure for whatever reason but with like a shocking amount
14:31of consistency people are always offering me drugs when i am filming this show like in my day-to-day life
14:40this is not happening to me at all never are they offering me drugs but walk down the street
14:46filming jet like the game all the time oh mate you want some ganj and it's like yeah kinda but it's
14:54gonna impair my ability to pick a hiding spot and if i don't pick a good hiding spot i'm not gonna win
15:01jet like the game and if i don't win jet like the game then adam's gonna win jet like the game if adam
15:05wins shit like the game let's just say my personal life is gonna become a nightmare for several months
15:09okay so still looking for hiding spot here walking along the highway and check this out this like
15:19patch of grass here is like nothing on the map i don't see it on the map but then if you come over
15:24here to the corner it's got this little little hidey little hidey corner right here where surely
15:35no one could see you plus there are all of these berries for snacking on uh i mean i don't they might
15:43be poisonous but that's a journey we could go on together this this one is definitely tempting i
15:50my worry is that it is just off the highway which is like kind of kind of unintuitive kind of unintuitive
15:58but also i i worry that it might make it more likely for them to accidentally walk by stumble
16:05upon it but let's keep this one in mind look it is a very charming little town here yeah because we're
16:11in scotland the greatest country in the world yeah you've been saying you want to check the bus stop
16:17sure not very frequent and not very uh dumfries no not very frequent and seemingly does not go to the
16:24wonderful town of dumfries i wonder if anyone ever has wanted to go to dumfries as much as
16:30as we do right now what do you think's going on there it's a swing you should try the swing no i don't
16:35think i will train's three minutes late perfect but it's still coming here it is
16:53there's the train oh it's only two it's even smaller
17:12we've made it now there's no chance he has the second duplication right zero chance in the world

17:32so sam and adam just left on their train for here unfortunately i don't have another one of those
17:40curses on hand uh so they are gonna make it here um i have just found a spot on map that i think might
17:50actually be perfect but it's all the way on the other side of town so i have to hurry and if it turns
17:55out it's not good then i'm just kind of stuck there so uh let's hustle and let's hope it's a good spot
18:03okay so apparently i need to take this weird little path uh for little ways um and this is like the only
18:13efficient way to get to the actual part of my zone where i'll be hiding i don't hate that that's kind of
18:23weird all right come on they're almost here hi hi okay i can't get distracted i gotta get to my spot
18:38don't tell them where i am this is exactly what i wanted dead end on a residential street i had to come
18:45a really weird long way to get here so it's isolated and there's not really any risk of them
18:52stumbling upon it they have to find it and intentionally go here and intentionally going
18:57here will be a risk because it's not near anything else it has these little carve outs on the side
19:03where i can stash myself away no problem the nearest path of street tracing is is just a line
19:10not gonna tell them much tallest building it's just gonna be one of these houses there are thousands
19:16of them around here as far as i can tell this is the best hiding spot in this zone and they will be
19:25here i think momentarily oh my whole self is aching after six days of this

20:08our asses yes the fire can't even conceptualize the the the size of this fire you are on camera
20:15saying ben has ignited a fire in your ass i went to the kebab shop last night it's not good down there
20:23now i'm about two and a half hours from adam's winning time which is a decent chunk of time but
20:30it means that they're gonna have to be extremely careful about the questions that they ask when they get
20:35here because anytime i draw a card if i rip up a super big time bonus off the top or a really good
20:44curse it could completely demolish them so they are going to have to be very smart about how they play
20:52this if they want to defeat me once and for all audience i'm scared okay we're about to hit our
21:01radar spot and he's gonna have had a lot of time to look for a good spot and he's good at it all right
21:08hit the radar three two one all right send it all right let's get ready to get off yeah all right
21:19well um before they even got here we've got our first question um they've hit me with a half mile
21:25radar right before the station and it is a hit in fact i'm very close to where they did that half mile
21:32radar but before i go ahead and draw my cards here um they're pulling into the station now so i think
21:39it is time to at least attempt to play curse of the impenetrable fog of course we've got to roll a die
21:46uh and we got to get an even okay let's see what we get here

22:06we've made it sam we're off the train in dumfries this is a huge start for us
22:11oh yeah boom and there she is the side of that hotel
22:25he's gonna do what we would do he's gonna wait every last second until he has to answer these
22:29questions oh yeah every second could matter here i think we're just gonna get sort of into the zone
22:36into the south part because i think it's more likely that's where he is

22:52it really annoying to explore well i mean it's fine for now where we kind of just want to wander
22:56aimlessly yeah it's not going to be good later this means we're probably going to need to do more
23:01chopping than we were going to because we can't be exploring large areas with this thing but maybe
23:07we focus on right now searching more in the middle of the zone okay it's actually it's a hit
23:13which i would argue is actually good so he's in the north half he's in the north half which is not
23:17what i was expecting but yeah it's kind of the counterintuitive half good okay with that radar out of
23:23the way let's draw two cards okay well veto veto never hurts anybody um a 10 minute bonus is is
23:36nice but i feel like it's not it's not steep enough for my tastes so the veto i'm sure will come in handy
23:44this is the half that we're dealing with it's not huge there was a path right by the rails um have you
23:53noticed yeah i mean we just need this street trace honestly okay well let's just stick around in this half
24:01we're uh we're basically at the edge of it right now anything but one is right
24:07five there's a lot fewer streets up there yeah yeah it's much more sparse so it's good in a lot of
24:14ways and part of it is excluded just because he can't access it i think we need to take another right
24:19here yeah one two three okay uh anything but a one or two five okay yeah i mean it's gonna take 20
24:29minutes to get a street view thing and that's assuming that he even answers it you might be able
24:33to randomize it or veto it true both of which would be very concerning they've asked me for the
24:40street trace that is going to get vetoed for sure so we'd like to turn left i think because i think we
24:49want to cross the station yeah but there's this path and i would argue this is one intersection that is
24:54okay so let's say one six every well that was the path that i was saying might be worth okay then
24:58let's say every one two three four five six okay so five isn't bad it's just really anything but a
25:04six all right well i guess we're going to the station i mean let's take a let's just uh
25:10you know mental note for later it is compelling and he could be like in that brush yeah it's pretty
25:17wooded so i guess we cross over the station now i think maybe this bridge goes over the station this
25:23sucks dude i was specifically like god i hope we don't have to deal with this yep because even
25:29like gambler speed is not as bad as this this is a roundabout i don't even know what to do with this

25:41so i think we'd like to go straight ultimately so i'm going to say one six and everything else is the

26:30they will bump into me i can respect the ambition i really do think that getting the right ratio of of
26:37questions to time right is gonna be really crucial here because they can't just spam questions because
26:44i'll get too many time bonuses and they can't ask too few questions because
26:51then they might just run out of time i have to send that street trace in a minute but it's getting vetoed

29:50of these houses they all look the same there's a lot of these houses that look like this out here i
29:55don't think that they're just going to stumble upon one of these houses because we are sort of out in a
30:01weird part of the map and i think that like in order to see any of these houses they need to have
30:09either gotten very fortunate and wandered out here or have another reason to come out here and then
30:15stumble upon them but i definitely don't think that they are just going to wander into one of these houses
30:23here's the thing we really need we need to not have to do this again

31:27is this is who i am i can't go home i can go home and eat food at normal hours no i want to keep going
31:38you know alas the end of the season approaches and approaches quickly hurry up boys hurry up okay
31:47this next one is a big one sam all right we really need to go right okay it's very important
31:55that we don't have to go left make sure it's a good healthy roll then yeah all right one for left and
32:02everything else for right we really need this one awesome that's not really how one crosses around
32:12about but you know whatever i got i panicked yeah we are now back in the legal zone okay what do we
32:21want to go to the left here um because i think we really want to like completely exclude yeah it's just
32:30if we go to the left it's going to be annoying to have to turn around and stuff this is so debilitating
32:35we could consider another radar it's just so hard to actually correctly explore everything we need
32:40to explore when we have this i mean although we're not getting we're not getting a lot of wrong turns
32:46now but still you know gambler's fallacy there i'm just so worried about like we go down here we
32:51get lost in all of this and i think the odds that he's just like in this random stuff by the station
32:55are low the odds are much higher that he's up there sure by that other stuff let's try to go
33:01right one two three four five six into the station yeah we're gonna go over to the other side if he's
33:08over there that's tough i just think the odds are low and you're sure because like this way we'll be
33:15further from searching that so i know but i think we have to take some risks here okay i mean we're
33:21gonna lose this curse in 15 minutes anyway so damn it's already been 45 minutes around that

33:41cycle path he likes paths like that yep they are getting closer they are getting closer they're going
33:49the right direction i don't know if they know that they're going the right direction because again
33:53they have very limited information right now but they're getting closer where are they going they're
34:00standing around just right at the edge of that wooded path that i took to get to this this part of my
34:08zone i don't know if they're thinking of going down or not but i really hope that they don't i'm just
34:14keeping an eye on here they're right they're right outside of it and like if they followed it all the
34:20way it would bring them right to a pretty small area where they could maybe find me stay off that damn
34:28pass adam and sam okay one two three four five six this way okay well that's the worst direction yeah
34:38we've missed that cycle path twice where are they going now okay they didn't go down the wooded path
34:45they're going somewhere else all right 10 minutes until this curse goes away at least it'll make it
34:51easier to search at the minimum yeah cycling paths over there we can try to even just like take a little
34:57look i mean it's the type of place ben likes to be yeah lots of forces stuff i don't think you can go
35:03press the private prop no yeah we'll call it here no oh god turn around two minutes until our photo
35:11comes in unless you can veto that one too wouldn't put it past him at this point let's get that photo

35:27i mean look this whole thing is going to come down to a matter of minutes i think so anything like

35:57he could be back there looking that way i mean at least he's facing this direction that hat he's

36:15questions since they got the photo of the of the house maybe they're trying to decide what to ask next
36:24or maybe they're trying to decide if it's even worth asking another question i don't know if i
36:29were them i do think i would maybe risk it and ask another question right now i hope my hope is that
36:36they're going to go back into the area where they were thinking that they saw houses that looked like
36:41these houses because i think that there are similar houses up there but it's actually kind of like a
36:46completely different part of the zone i mean only so many spots can have houses like that and still
36:52be on our zone yeah and be facing that direction and honestly i think that area that we just skipped
36:58over you want to try it i mean okay let's go mostly your choice but like it's certainly that's certainly
37:05some of the options yeah yeah let's try going left this way yeah so anything but one
37:11okay okay this curse is about to time out anyway but for now let's try to go
37:17not that way not that way that way so anything but a one or a two five and this takes us to that
37:24kind of residential neighborhood these streets here yeah okay so we go here and then we turn left
37:30are you still tracking which streets we've searched yeah i'm doing a lot of things it would seem they
37:35have committed to continuing to wander i think that they are trying to bank on stumbling upon that
37:42house and i don't think that is going to happen i am i am glad that i am not in their position i
37:48just get to sit here and and wait for for fate to have its way with me that sounds bad not that like
37:59that just you know you know what let's try to go left wait no no no this left yeah then we double
38:05back no no why don't we go because this street looks very prime i think so i think we want to
38:11turn right again i just am really skeptical about this entire area why because it's in the middle of
38:16the zone he would go to the edge of the zone but wouldn't it's just it just happens to be the case
38:21that this is the edge of the zone that remains but this is not the edge of the zone this is right
38:25sure but wouldn't you want to do something counterintuitive and it is now 4 p.m they have
38:32been here for an hour and the clock is running down quickly let me tell you i think i think that this is
38:39going to be a nail biter it's already a nail biter i've bitten my nails i naturally bite my nails so maybe
38:46that doesn't mean anything but um but maybe you at home are biting your nails i i would hope that we
38:52create content that is so exciting that you bite your nails um but this for me certainly qualifies
39:01i i do believe however that their uh curse of the impenetrable fog will be expiring in
39:10just a couple of minutes and so they will be able to
39:13bob and weave with more precision it's just they need actual information
39:21to know where they want to go to begin with here adam
39:26these houses are candidates right because like this i think the direction of the clouds was like
39:32this way these look where are you looking right now no no yeah yeah yeah this is all legal now home
39:38is right at the top of his own that's like super prime because that looks prime i mean now i bring
