WOMAN EXPLAINS HOW TOURISTS GET DARING PHOTO AT VICTORIA FALLS
WITH VID
By Pankaj Yadav
A behind-the-scenes video has revealed how some of the most jaw-dropping photos at Victoria Falls are actually taken and it’s far more coordinated than it looks.
The footage, filmed by Nessa Yesufu at Victoria Falls on the Zambia–Zimbabwe border, shows local tour guides carefully assisting tourists as they pose near the dramatic edge of the waterfall.
In the clip, guides are seen holding visitors’ hands as they approach the ledge, guiding them step by step toward the drop.
Once in position, the guides secure the tourists by firmly holding their legs while they lie flat and pose, creating the illusion of hanging off the edge.
What appears risky and spontaneous in photos is, in reality, a controlled and closely supervised process.
The video has fascinated viewers online, One user commented: "I got the most anxiety seeing how the guide holding the phone casually stands there on the edge phone in one hand."

00:00Have you ever wondered how people get these viral photos and videos hanging off the edge of Victoria
00:04Falls in Zambia? Well let me show you. Honestly the trick that the guides have is hilarious but
00:11so good. So once you get to the falls you have to sign a waiver and then they let you rent some
00:16water shoes which are absolutely essential. You head over in a little speedboat across to the
00:23side where Devil's Pool is and Devil's Pool is the area that you swim in. So you actually have to
00:27swim or walk over this very shallow piece of water and the guides are with you the whole way.
00:33So once you get to the other side you're looking all dry all of my body oil came off I was so annoyed
00:39and once you come to terms with how ashy you look you begin your descent down these rocks you really
00:44need to take your time because they're very sharp. Guides they're with you the whole way. I will say
00:50that there are fish in the water that nibble on you they don't hurt and we were warned before getting
00:55in. So I know some people won't want to hear that but it is the truth and they will tell you when you
01:00get there just to let you know that there are fish that nibble on you but not in a painful or
01:05dangerous way. You can see the other guide is now guiding me across. I never felt scared or fearful
01:09that I was going to slip over the edge or have some sort of accident. They're guiding you because
01:13there's a current that pushes you to the left side where the people are and because you need to go
01:17directly forward it's best for the guides to guide you. Okay so once you get over the guides tell you
01:22to prop up and from this angle I see how crazy it looks that I'm literally just propping myself up
01:27on the edge of the world's biggest waterfall. Adding in another perspective here to see how
01:32truly insane this is and this is the trick. The guides hold your legs the whole entire time.
01:39Yeah I know you see it booty cheeks all up in his face. The guide has the best job in the world
01:44because he just has ass in his face all day. To be honest I never felt scared and I never felt like
01:50I was slipping or sliding on the edge like I was going to fall over but it is really nice that you
01:54have the guide there for security and the other guide is a professional at taking all of the photos
01:59all of the videos. Super patient when I wanted to flip my hair. Told me when to turn over. Gives you a
02:05good five minutes per person in a group to just do your thing so that's really appreciated. As you can
02:11see here I'm about to turn over and then I said to the other guide help me pull down my dress.
02:16He's helping me pull down my dress. It was a whole ordeal. That's what it's like visiting
02:21Devil's Pool in Victoria Falls. Also the local name of Victoria Falls is Mossi Oatunya which is
02:27the name that I would prefer to call it not the colonizer name. That's neither here nor there.
02:32Had such a beautiful day visiting the largest waterfall in the world and ticking off a bucket list
02:37item. Thanks for watching.
