Multi-hyphenate legend, Debbie Allen, recently became the first black woman to receive the Television Academy's Governors Award. Allen is a director, choreographer, actress, and producer with a storied career. From winning a Golden Globe as dance instructor Lydia Grant in Fame to directing numerous T.V. episodes, she has broken new ground in the entertainment industry.
