00:00I also know there's another experience that's going to be coming down the line, which is the Remy Martin pre-show.
00:04What can you tell us about that?
00:06The immersive experience is really a look into my mind.
00:11It is kind of a source into the backstory that is my creativity, the things that have not only inspired, but also to even create it.
00:21And you'll understand what I mean when I say created me.
00:25And when you go to it, if you ever do, you did get to preview it.
00:30So you met a lot of the characters, you met the things that represent the elements, you met the people that represent the reality.
00:38And they don't necessarily tell you who they are.
00:40Yeah, you have to figure it out.
00:42You have to literally be immersed in this theatrical, you know, story that is my life or pieces of my life and things that have inspired me.
00:54But great there, Remy Martin, you know, they've given me the opportunity to do it.
00:58It really was fun.
01:00Out of, one, seeing a lot of immersive theater spaces.
01:04And I worked with Randy Wiener, who actually did a really, really great job of helping me to create it.
01:14And a wonderful woman by the name of Allegra, who brought together this cast of people who are from Las Vegas to help me tell my story.
01:21I created the characters with them, and then we began to work on them.
01:25So it literally has been kind of a labor of understanding the characters and answering certain things.
01:31And maybe there's this story, you know, there's this ever-looming conversation that goes on in my mind about what has happened in my life that has brought me here.
01:42What these characters mean and what these people meant to my development.
01:46And they're there.
01:47And, you know, Essence got to preview last night.
01:52And we were the first media outlet.
01:53And speaking with Remy Martin, they shared that that was important for you, that Essence be the first.
01:58Can you speak to that?
01:59Yeah, well, I definitely know that they are a great supporter of Essence.
02:04And for me, you know, I'm all about family first.
02:08I'm all about, you know, my culture first.
02:11I'm all about telling a story that I think is relevant.
02:15What I also, too, think is very valuable for you to know is that the majority of our staff, being a minority staff, they weren't necessarily a part of a guild here in Las Vegas.
02:27So it was another added to the fact that we were putting together something that had never been done here, which was an immersive theater experience.
02:35But also to working with theatrical actors who may not necessarily have been a part of the union.
02:40So that to me was, oh, man, great that there's a purpose on top of what we're doing in addition to me telling my story.
02:48I'm literally using talent that should be recognized and seen officially.
02:57In Las Vegas.
