00:00tell me a story mommy a happy one
00:06oh we have this secret handshake
00:10they'll never forget you how do you know they'll remember
00:18for me watching this series as someone who spent the pandemic mostly alone it felt kind of like
00:29eerily uncomfortable um you know as a viewer I'm curious if you can talk about you know when you
00:35uh taped this series and what it was like for you as an actor being a part of it um you know for me
00:42I'm a loner anyway I'm kind of a hermit so the idea of being without people and sitting on my
00:49back porch is something I look forward to so so you know with the pandemic I use that time to
00:55reconnect with myself and with my family you know it's like it's a very different Anthony at 42 than
01:01it was at 18 when I left for college so you know just reintroducing yourself and um that's what was
01:09fun and going into this episode it was it was very interesting because you know at the end of the day
01:17you you really want your legacy to live on after you so perception is very important
01:24yeah and I had never thought about that because there's so many people who I have issues with or
01:30there's so many people who I don't like or who don't like me and I realized if I was doing something
01:35in a certain way and to me I was just doing it in as a kind gesture but you perceive it as an
01:43offensive act your reality is your perception you know so you know it kind of made me think
01:51you know the the the idea of your perception comes with who you are at that time on that day yeah and
01:59it put a lot of things into perspective with me especially with this character and just walking
02:03through day-to-day life you know trying to some kind of way systematically deal with people's
02:09perception of what your actions are yeah which like time was interesting like there was so many
02:16layers there you know what do you kind of make of him overall having spent time you know as that
02:21character well I thought David did an amazing job of writing this character in a way to where he was a
02:27real human being he was flawed he was arrogant he was um frustrated but at the same time he was very
02:34humble and very insecure you know it's we do all this stuff and try to you know garner as much as
02:43as much respect and and acknowledgement as we can and then we're gone and none of it matters
02:51yeah you know so what exactly are you working for what are you working towards you know with with Tom
02:58it was so interesting because he realized it had to be something more than great vacations expensive shoes
03:03and car he won at the end of the day he would have given everything away for his kids to look at him
03:11as the man that he wanted to be perceived as yeah you know and that's all you want your kids you know
03:18to say you know my dad was a great dad he was a great man yeah you know and it has nothing to do
03:23with what you can buy them it has to do with the the person that they learn you are
