00:16So it's still summer and you know the heat is on and I'm here to talk about keeping
00:26your face together and never letting anybody see you sweat.
00:31The key, primers.
00:34I love a good primer and a primer is the best thing to put on before you put on foundation.
00:40So you're thinking about creating a great flawless finish to your skin, well the primer
00:45is a secret weapon.
00:47You apply a primer and Molly Roncall makes an amazing one because it's good for every skin
00:52type and it's not tinted.
00:54Some primers come tinted based on your skin tone and you want to find one that's going
00:58to go on seamlessly.
00:59So I like an invisible one like Molly Roncall makes.
01:03Put that onto your skin.
01:05After your moisturizer has dried and penetrated and it makes your skin almost feel like velvet,
01:11very, very soft.
01:13You wait a few minutes and you apply your foundation on top of this and the primer acts as a barrier
01:20between your pores and the foundation so the oil of your skin is not going to cause your
01:26foundation to break apart.
01:27Now, the same thing can be said for finding something to keep your eyeshadow on for a long
01:33time.
01:34Too Faced makes shadow insurance which is a primer that you put on top of your lids, apply it,
01:45let it dry and then you put that eyeshadow on top of that.
01:53Now, in the middle of the day you sometimes have what is known as those oily breakthroughs
01:58and have you ever seen women use like napkins to blot their faces and you see like little
02:02tissue residue all over the place?
02:05That's why you don't want to use a napkin.
02:06You want to find products that are going to help you diminish the oil without leaving
02:11any trace that they were there.
02:13So I like Black Opal's invisible mattifying product and you can apply that to any area of
02:19your face and you can wear it under your makeup, you can put it on before you start your day or
02:25you can put it on if you see an oily breakthrough happening during the day.
02:28So I like that and it's very easy to apply, it's just a little bit of a clear gel as you
02:33can see and you apply it to the oily parts of your face.
02:39So for example I could just put it right here over my nose which tends to be oily and it's
02:44going to seep up and contain any of the oil that's there, any of the oily breakthrough.
02:52And finally, in lieu of those tissues I was talking about, get yourself some blotting
02:57paper.
02:58Sephora makes a great charcoal blotting paper which is easy to use and comes in a dispenser
03:06that dispenses one at a time so you're not going to waste and all you're doing is simply
03:13taking it and blotting oil, the excess oil around your face.
03:22And it's not leaving anything behind and you see you've got a little bit of oil, I have
03:26a little shine there you ladies.
03:28So that is the perfect thing to have in your desk, in your purse, it's not going to take
03:32up a whole lot of room and it wouldn't be a problem to take on vacation because it's not
03:36liquid or gel so it's TSA approved.
03:39So now you know how to prime your face, your eyes and to eliminate the oil from your face
03:46either by mattifying or blotting.
