00:00Michelle, there's something that you tweeted that I thought was really great.
00:06It said a reminder that our voices are really powerful in 2017.
00:09Yes.
00:10As we go into this new presidency, this new political climate that we're in,
00:13what does that mean for a regular person like me?
00:15That means to be conscious, to be conscious, to speak up, not to be apathetic.
00:21I think if anything has taught us in this last year,
00:24is that we are responsible for our future, each and every single one of us.
00:28And unless we take a stand as individuals and as a community,
00:33it'll be a big waste of time.
00:35So we have to do that together, and that will be powerful.
00:39That's no question.
00:41No question. Jamie?
00:42Gotta be careful.
00:43And I think that we have to think about our children.
00:47When I look at my kids, that's what I worry about.
00:50You know, this past political thing, I just think it was horrible for the kids.
00:54Because if you can't have your children watch political debates and watch the presidential debates,
01:01that's when I think you got it wrong.
01:03Because America is always going to be fantastic.
01:05And I think people have to understand this.
01:07Regardless of who the president is, America, the spirit of America,
01:11is always going to be great.
01:12And it's set up that way that when we do have moments like these,
01:16which I think was sort of horrific on both ends, America is going to be great.
01:21Like she said, you have to always speak up.
01:23But we have to do one thing.
01:25You have to ask yourself, can my kid listen to my words as a government official
01:34and feel good about themselves and not feel like the things that are being said in the press.
01:40Now kids are actually saying in classrooms, saying that you don't matter
01:45and you're going to get taken out and you're going to this and you're going to that.
01:49I think that's where we have to be careful.
01:51And I think that we can do it.
01:52And I think that we are a resilient nation.
01:56I think that our forefathers set this system up in a very, very terrific way
02:02so that even if things become go off the rails, die, it still will be able to protect itself.
02:10And I think what we have to do now is now that we have the outcome,
02:14we've got to see where we can all work together and where we can still be.
02:20And this is what I tell people all the time.
02:22Let's have dialogue.
02:23Let's not be mad at every decision.
02:25If you like the color blue and I like the color yellow,
02:29that doesn't mean that I have to kill you for it.
02:31I have to be upset for it.
02:32Let's go back to being courteous.
02:35Now that things are the way they are, let's find a way to work with each other,
02:39make sure everybody is inclusive because that's what makes this country great.
02:42And I guarantee you, when you travel outside this country
02:45and you see how other countries are run, you will run back here.
02:49You will run back here.
02:51Real talk, yeah.
02:52You will seriously run back here.
02:53So I think that's what we have to understand is that, hey man, you know what?
02:57Let's think about our children and let's think about how great this country can be.
03:00Thank you so much for that.
03:01I appreciate it.
03:02Our time is up.
03:03Thank you so much.
03:04That was great.
03:05All good.
03:06All good.
03:07All good.
03:08All good.
03:09All good.
03:10All good.
