00:00What I love about my hair is being able to switch it up. I think that's just so
00:09exciting. I must be completely honest. For me it's been a journey in loving my
00:16hair, my texture, but it's actually some of my favorite times when I'm, you know,
00:21at home and I take my extensions out and I'm able to wear my little fro all
00:25around the house. And I remember once my husband saw it and he goes, I really like
00:29your hair like that. What made me cut my hair was each lady in the group wanted
00:37to have their own identity. And for me it was really important to have that of
00:41course. So actually I didn't want to do it. I was nervous about doing it and Tina
00:46Knowles, our, Tina Knowles Lawson now, our hairstylist at the time, she said, you would
00:51look so great with short hair. And I got nervous, but she cut my hair and it was
00:56so fly and I was one of a kind. I think that's what I liked the most is everybody
01:01had their look and short hair was mine and I loved it.
01:04Black is beautiful means confidence. Black is beautiful means warrior. Black is
01:12beautiful means timeless, classic, effortless. It's just so many things. Black embodies.
01:20Biggest lessons I've learned about my hair and beauty in general is it's truly your own. You
01:29celebrate and are allowed to, to be yourself and be creative, you know, with your style,
01:35your personal style and, and your own beauty. And I think that it's so important to know
01:40that, to rock it, and to have confidence in it because you never know who you're inspiring.
