00:27which is a beautiful thing. It's about our culture, our people, our youth. It's about education.
00:33It's about inspiring the next generation.
00:36A lot of us have been through stuff, been through situations, and it's about overcoming that person.
00:41We started this in New Orleans. It's about helping at-risk youth, but it's about helping kids in poverty
00:48go and chase their dreams and their goals.
00:51Everybody here that knows somebody that's dead or incarcerated, put your hand up.
00:56Our whole thing is to make a change through education and do better.
01:01And it's only going to start right here with you.
01:03Even though whatever conditions you're going in, still find some type of peace and happiness with yourself.

01:19Education changed my life, saved my life, so I feel like if I can inspire and give that back to these kids,
01:26and I'm just thankful that Essence partnered up with us with this to make this happen.
01:30This is going to be powerful for our culture and our people, and knowing that we're not forgetting about the next generation.
01:37And that's how we're going to build generational wealth, making sure that these kids have safe havens.
01:42These kids have the proper education to go on with their lives, to be doctors, lawyers, entertainers, professional athletes.
01:52I just want kids to know that, you know what, you could be good in sports, you could be good in music, you could be good in acting or whatever,
01:59but also have something to fall back on, which is your education.
