00:00When we were going to the White House to interview the President and First Lady, I was so curious
00:06how they felt about the last election.
00:09You know, nobody had fought harder and more vocally for Hillary Clinton than Michelle
00:17Obama had.
00:18It felt like you went out on an emotional limb, really, in this fall campaign.
00:22What was an election night like for you?
00:25I went to bed.
00:26Yes, she did.
00:27I did.
00:28You know, I tend not to, you know, I don't watch debates.
00:32I don't like to watch the political discourse.
00:35I never have.
00:36I barely did with him.
00:39You know, it just, you know, once you do what you can do, you know, then you rest easy.
00:45It was in the hands of the American people.
00:47I think anything that I felt about the election, I said, and, you know, and I stand by.
00:55This is our democracy, and this is how it works.
01:00And so we are ready to work with the next administration and make sure that they are as successful as
01:08they can be, because that's what's best for this country.
01:11I think it's worth noting that, you know, her, Mrs. Obama's mantra through the campaign was
01:18when they go low, we go high.
01:20I think they've stayed high.
01:21I think it's going to be like, you know, for justice to a whole life, and maybe I think it's
01:37possible for the next person to the party, and it's all over.
