00:11Currency Conversations is all about you setting a pledge for yourself, a financial goal that you are committing to follow.
00:18We're asking women to take the pledge and to commit to themselves.
00:23The idea of Currency Conversations came about as a result of understanding that there was this need in the black community
00:29to start to spark this dialogue amongst intergenerational black women.
00:35Black women do have unique challenges, and how do we hit those head-on in a way that's very effective?
00:42And we're so excited to partner with Chase on this important endeavor.
00:46Chase decided to partner with Essence Communications for a variety of reasons,
00:50the most important one being that Essence has been such a trusted brand in the black community,
00:55in particular with black women, for over 30 years.
00:59It's been great to be on the Currency Conversations pool and be on the road around the country talking to black women about money.

01:09Investigate your expenses. Make them defend themselves.
01:13The amazing thing for me is coming out to all the cities and seeing all of the amazing people who actually want to get involved
01:21and be a part of these Currency Conversations and really understand how important this is for them and their families.
01:27The only way this is going to change is for us to have the conversation and take a step.
01:33And together, we can accomplish anything because that's what we do.
01:38I decided to take the pledge to gain financial stability for the future.
01:42Today was electric. We need to keep this energy for finances going.
01:47We've toured the country bringing out thousands of amazing black women, all for Currency Conversations.
