00:17I met Lena at the Cannes Film Festival.
00:19I just came to her and said, like,
00:21you are a new black Marine in Monroe,
00:23and you need to be in our September issue.
00:25I didn't know that this time she was making history
00:28as a first trans woman on the red carpet
00:31for the Cannes Film Festival with a filming competition.
00:34I didn't realize.
00:35I just was thinking she looks amazing,
00:37and she needs to be part of our history.
00:40So we are very excited,
00:42and you will see every look is magic.
00:47Knits, knits, knits.
00:49This fall and winter is all about being comfortable
00:51and staying warm while looking absolutely fabulous.
00:54As you'll see, we're here on the beach,
00:58and we did kind of a modern twist on nomadic dressing.
01:02So it's all about layering, knits, various textures,
01:06metallic detailing, a lot of really cool accessories
01:09that you'll see with kind of a futuristic twist.
01:11We pulled from Gucci to Prada.
01:13You'll see fur, you'll see feathers,
01:15all kinds of great stuff.
01:19Lena Bloom is a very courageous figure,
01:21not only in fashion, but also just in everyday life.
01:25And the shots that I wanted to capture of her
01:27were more heroic to give that light to her.
01:32To be a trans model and to be as outspoken as she is
01:35and genuine and honest, you know,
01:37I wanted to capture her in a way that just breeds respect.
