00:00It's been tough still going back to work, like we're all doing all this stuff and it's just weird.
00:09You did cover the story a lot at Essence, the passing of your friend and co-creator Rell.
00:15Is there something that you want to leave the world knowing about him?
00:20Kevin, you know, it's still weird saying was, but...
00:26In this business, it's hard to, like, work with people who get who you are and what your work is and what your worth is and what your voice is.
00:39And I was lucky enough to have, like, it's a group of us, which all of us are hurting the same way.
00:45We're all a real tight-knit group.
00:47And to lose not just a friend, but one of our creatives.
00:51And not just a creator, a person who never not communicated with the underdog.
00:58So you'll see Kevin be at the Fox Studios at night and then go to, like, the most whole-new-all comedy spot to support one of the young comics.
01:08I know me personally, I lost a huge cheat code in my chain of somebody who knew my voice and was able to help me create and make sure we kept my voice on the show or whatever projects I was on.
01:25And I'm going to miss Kevin for that.
01:26It is still weird saying was, and it's been tough.
01:30Well, I want to thank you so much for sharing that.
01:33I know it's still super raw and super new for you.
01:36So thank you for opening up to us about it.
01:38Thank you for having me, and I appreciate y'all.
01:40Like, this has been, you know, amazing to me and my career and show love.
01:45And, you know, I appreciate you covering Kevin's story and talking about the things he's done.
01:50And let's praise some of these young people that did it the right way.
01:55And that's what we all trying to do, but he did, and I'm proud of him.
02:00Amazing.
02:01Well, thank you so much for being here with us.
