00:06congratulations on winning the Essence Breakthrough of the Year Award. A year
00:11ago did you imagine that you would be here? No, I don't know. I mean no one has
00:16a crystal ball. It's such an honor to be here and you know I remember the event
00:20being very emotional and positive and encouraging so it's such an honor to be
00:28here and being honored. Do you consider yourself an artist or an actress and why?
00:34Hopefully both. I mean I think that you know obviously acting is what I do but I
00:40aspire to make art so you know it's not always possible and sometimes you have
00:46to you know do things for practical reasons and but I think that yeah I
00:53think hopefully we all actors aspire to be artists you know you don't always get
00:58the most exciting material but when you do it's a very special thing. After you
01:04finish a project what is the first thing you do? If I can I try and take a holiday
01:10not always practical I like to go home I like to see my family I like to see my
01:16parents I like to get back to where I grew up and get out in the countryside and
01:20you know just take a step back and and have a moment just to let the dust settle I
01:27think because you know it depends on the work but sometimes it can be quite
01:30intense sometimes you're in crazy hours you're away from home that your whole
01:34body clock gets confused and and so so sometimes it's just nice to kind of be
01:39able to completely decompress
