00:00Our really popular color for fall is gray. Our clothes are gray, our coats, our jackets, our book bags, our shoes, our socks, you know, everything is gray. But what normally isn't gray is our hair. So what's really cool about this season in particular is that gray hair is making a full comeback. And we're not talking about, you know, salt and pepper gray. We're talking about blue grays, purple grays, grays incorporated with a lot of pastel colors.
00:28People are really having fun with their hair these days. The only thing about having gray hair is that you have to bleach your hair almost white, platinum white. And for some people, that's a little scary. So if you're one of those people, but you still want to rock the gray hair, wearing a unit like this is definitely a possibility.
00:46So for this hair, what we did, we colored it gray and we gave it some dip dyed ends in purple and lavender. Some black roots also make it look really, really natural. Almost like it's growing out of your own scalp.
01:02Again, this is a lace closure on a net with the weft sewn onto it. We have clips on the side. And we have the bands to also ensure maximum support.
01:14Since the hair is braided down, all we have to do is place it on top. Hold it there.
01:22Put it all the way down to cover the braids. Let it go.
01:29Again, because it is a lace front wig, you want to make sure that it lands right on your part.
01:40You don't want to see any of your natural hair, too much of your natural hair out because then you'll be able to tell.
01:46But if you have just a few baby hairs, just enough, it'll look extremely natural.
01:52Another way to make it look really natural is to pluck the part. To make it a little wider and not too perfect.
01:59That way it'll mimic a natural part in your own hair.
02:02Once you have it exactly where you want it, clip it right into the braid.
02:11Now, with such a bold color, it's making such a statement, you want to keep a relatively simple style.
02:17This we just curled with a two-inch barrel curling iron just to create some really casual waves.
02:25That way you let the color really, really shine.
02:28And if it does that, if it pulls back, what you need to do is just add a couple of pins again.
02:34In between the tracks, into the braids.
02:37I use longer pins to ensure that they don't ever come out.
02:41And the great thing about clipping your wigs in is that you have no commitment.
02:45You can literally pop it on and pop it off every single day.
02:48And again, if the lace isn't really matching your skin tone the way you want it to,
02:52take a bit of your concealer and just pat it right there.
