00:00Our new show, Are We There Yet?, is about Nick Persons and Suzanne Kingston. It basically picks
00:13up where the movie left off, where the first movie left off, which is we're six months into
00:18our wedding and now the representatives have left the building and the veneers have come off and we
00:24have to figure out how to mesh these personalities, these schedules, these agendas and surround it
00:33all in love and hopefully a lot of humor in the process. It's funny because it does take place six
00:39months after that whole honeymoon period is over because movies only deal with the romance. That's
00:45the most interesting part of the whole thing for a lot of people but when you get into real life it's
00:51like uh oh and that's where this show takes up. This family could be any family. The fact that
00:58we are black just makes it that much more special for me that now you can watch something with your
01:04entire family and you can see not a popcorn version of it but you can see real issues with dealt with
01:12in a humorous way, dealt with in a relevant way. We just gotta show that we're there. We exist,
01:17you know what I mean? We're black fathers and moms and families. We love each other.
01:22It's just not for Trevi. You know you see the news and you see the negative because that's what
01:27gets ratings and this kind of stuff but you know there are great families out there who are working
01:32it out every day.
