00:00I absolutely love that it's my job to help people feel better about themselves.
00:13I lead all of the marketing efforts that you see from MAC, so from the new products that
00:18we develop to the campaigns that you see, a lot of that would have come from someone
00:24on the marketing team, so it's super fun.
00:26We are all about expression and freedom of expression, and I love that MAC is a brand
00:31that really gives people the tools to express themselves however they choose to on any given
00:37day.
00:38I, for one, have been using MAC for over 20 years, and I remember the reason why I fell
00:44in love with MAC was at the time I was in university and I would go shopping, and at the time a lot
00:50of beauty companies didn't have my shade.
00:52And MAC was the first company that actually created for the full range of shades back
00:57then, and I didn't even know that that existed, and as soon as I discovered that I fell in
01:01love with it.
01:02I introduced it to my mother, I introduced it to my sisters, all my friends.
01:06So if you fast forward now, it's over 20 years later to be heading up marketing for the brand
01:12that considered me back then.
01:15It's a really emotional place for me.
01:17And so I think it's really important that we continue to push inclusivity forward, that
01:22that feeling that MAC gave me over 20 years ago, we need to give that to all of the people
01:28coming up now.
01:29So a big part of my job is making sure, yes, that we have diversity in the campaigns and
01:34in our stores and in our products and in the shades and inclusivity.
01:38But it's also to have a team that represents the communities that we serve.
01:42And that's how we'll tell the stories that people can relate to.
01:46That's how we'll develop the products that you'll put on your face and you'll be like,
01:49oh my god, yes, they totally get me.
