Ayesha CurryTalks about Motherhood and Not Having to be Perfect
Transcript
00:00What has becoming a mother really taught you about the woman that you are and how has it changed you?
00:07Gosh, well, I mean, first of all, I think it's crazy when you become a mom, you don't realize how much time you wasted beforehand.
00:17At least that was the case for me. Like I get done exponentially more now in a 24 hour period than I ever did before having kids.
00:27But I think not not to be a copycat and go back to the grace thing, but I do think you learn to forgive yourself more and you you instantly begin to realize that, you know, perfection doesn't exist and it's not ever something to aspire to as a parent or as a woman.
00:48And that I say this all the time, but just finding that beauty in the chaos because life life as a mom is chaotic and a lot of times it just doesn't make sense and it's never ending and it's go, go, go.
00:59And and I think when you stop to find the little things within that as a mom, the bright spots, you find peace and happiness and joy and that those moments are perfection.
01:12I think that's what perfection is. And so I think that's what I've learned as a mom to just in a sense, even though I'm a list girl and a schedule girl to love a list.
01:21Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. And it's it's work for me. So I love it. My favorite job, if we can even call it that. But I.
01:32I love it. I love being a mom.
