00:00They seem to like you a lot, I would say. I mean, look at them.
00:05Hi, I'm Sarah Pidgeon.
00:06And I'm Paul Anthony Kelly.
00:08And we're playing Most Likely 2 with Variety.
00:13Most Likely 2 with the cast of Love Story.
00:17John, I want to introduce you to Carolyn Bessette.
00:23Carolyn, this is John Kennedy.
00:25Most Likely 2 know the most Kennedy history.
00:30I think we make a really good team when it comes to that sort of knowledge.
00:35I would have to say you probably know more about...
00:39The Kennedys in particular?
00:40The Kennedys in particular.
00:41All those details, yes.
00:44I agree.
00:44But I think I could hold my own.
00:46What we were trying to accomplish in this series was the interior lives of these very public figures.
00:52So I think that was sort of overarchingly my goal of trying to take in as much as I could
00:59about who Carolyn Bessette was and then infuse that knowledge into what might have happened
01:04behind closed doors.
01:06So I think that was really my goal.
01:09I don't know if I could really put a finger on one point exactly.
01:14Most Likely 2, binge an entire TV show in one sitting.
01:18Yeah, I've been watching it a lot since we wrapped.
01:23Pluribus, incredible television.
01:25I watched the new Stranger Things, also great.
01:28I've been getting into It, Welcome to Derry.
01:31There was this one I episode, I don't know if you've seen it yet, but pretty gnarly.
01:36Oh, yeah.
01:37You've seen it a couple of days?
01:38I'm all caught up.
01:39I've watched a lot of television in the past week.
01:41Most Likely 2, stay in character when the cameras stop rolling.
01:47Oh, darn.
01:48That's a good question too.
01:49I think me.
01:50I think you as well.
01:53But I don't know.
01:54It all dropped pretty fast.
01:57Like in between takes, I think.
01:59No one was method on this set.
02:02Most Likely 2, improvise on set.
02:08What was it like working with writer Connor Hines?
02:11That was fantastic.
02:12Yeah, it was such an incredible amount of knowledge about this world and these people.
02:16And just from the moment I got the script, even before I got the whole thing for my audition,
02:20I felt like his words were so exciting to get to live in.
02:28They're very easy to drop into.
02:30I found him very invested and protective of these characters.
02:36I think in the same way that you become when you are an actor.
02:41It's not a question of if I want to spend the rest of my life with you.
02:45It's a question of if I'm cut out to be Mrs. JFK Jr.
02:49Most likely 2, be a fashion designer.
02:55This man is very, very fashionable.
03:00In Carolyn's wardrobe, there was a lot of Calvin pieces that we pulled.
03:03What's so incredible about her and why her fashion is so enduring is that it really is
03:08sort of this capsule wardrobe and that so many pieces, I mean, she wore them in such a way because
03:12of her essence, which I think is something we tried to really hone in on as to how do those
03:17clothes look on my body and how do I fill them out. Seeing how her style transitioned from those
03:25Calvin Klein days and that work uniform that she had and then as she became more of a public figure
03:29later in her life was so exciting. From Calvin in the 90s to its newest collections, I think it's just
03:35such an incredible line and house and yeah, it was wonderful to get to wear some pieces.
03:41Most likely 2, be the editor of a magazine.
03:44I don't know if I would ever do that. Do you?
03:47It would probably be me, I think.
03:49Yeah?
03:50Yeah.
03:51Yeah, it would be you.
03:52Yeah, sure. We'll just go with that.
03:53You have some experience now.
03:56Yes.
03:57Inhavening those hallways at George.
04:00Totally. George Magazine was at the turning point of political commentary as we know it.
04:05Nowadays, it would have been more relevant than ever.
04:09Yeah, it's a shame it didn't make it.
04:11Most likely 2, forget a line.
04:16At the end, I think me.
04:19There were certainly times when we were laughing and couldn't get it back for a minute.
04:23Yeah, there were quite a few times.
04:25Like I slipped, there wasn't rubber on the bottom of my shoes and
04:31I almost fell right on my butt. And like loud noises, I think sometimes.
04:35I am quite jumpy and I think sometimes that can cause me to sort of go up.
04:43I think 8 was pretty difficult for that, but our workload was incredibly...
04:48It was a big episode.
04:49It was a big episode.
04:50Yeah.
04:50Get ready.
04:53Most likely 2, get mobbed by the paparazzi.
04:56They seem to like you a lot, I would say.
05:01I mean, look at them.
05:02They were intense scenes.
05:04Being surrounded by the paparazzis or people that played the paparazzis.
05:08Your senses are so heightened and you almost collapse into yourself.
05:12They were tough and very real.
05:13And if that was their life day in, day out, oh my gosh.
05:16Yeah.
05:17No thank you.
05:17About to say that.
05:18I feel like the intensity of someone who's inhabiting a world that's fabricated,
05:22you know, for the sake of television in those moments, I think it gave me an appreciation for
05:27what that intensity must have felt like without the safety of an AD right there, you know?
05:32Yeah.
05:34The whole world will be watching you.
05:39They were intense.
05:40It really made you understand just how hunted, I think, at some points I felt.
05:47Most likely 2, have the best decorated trailer.
05:51Oh.
05:52Fine, you did a good job with your dressing room.
05:55With my dressing room?
05:56Yeah, you put a little, you put your cats up on the wall.
05:59Yeah, my cat and my dog.
06:00Your cat and your dog.
06:03Yeah.
06:03Yours had a lot more personality than mine, I think.
06:07I had this old, like, fruit basket from some day that we did that, the photo shoot for the…
06:13I also had that fruit basket situation.
06:15The world's tiniest apple sat in that basket until we wrapped and we did that shoot in,
06:20like, August?
06:22I think it was August.
06:23I think so, yeah.
06:23Yeah, so three months later.
06:26You kept an apple in there?
06:27It was just so small I couldn't get rid of it.
06:29Wow.
06:29Couldn't get rid of it.
06:31It didn't mold or anything, it just got a little wrinkly.
06:33Most likely 2, live in Tribeca.
06:36My affinity for that neighborhood grew the more time we spent down there.
06:41I've always loved Tribeca.
06:42I guess the answer is…
06:43What are some of your favorite spots in Tribeca?
06:47Well, Walkers is a good spot.
06:49I've been there quite a few times beforehand.
06:52And then we get to recreate some things in there.
06:55You know, Bubby's is great.
06:56The pancakes.
06:58The pancakes are very good.
06:59Most likely 2, read reviews of the show after it comes out.
07:04You know what?
07:05I tend to be overly curious, but I think I might have turned a page on that.
07:10Good.
07:11Morbic curiosity is dead.
07:14Most likely 2, listen to music on set.
07:18I listen to a lot of music on set.
07:22I think you.
07:22Mm-hmm.
07:23I really did like a deep dive on 90s alternative and stuff because I thought that that was kind
07:28of a John thing.
07:30Not that I didn't listen to it already, but I really kind of stuck with that.
07:34And it really got me into the mood.
07:36Pearl Jam, Alice in Chains, Local H, yeah, things like that.
07:42Tool.
07:43What'd you call me?
07:53Hey.
